Meet Jacob Morales | Photographer & Creative

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jacob Morales and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jacob, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Ever since I was young, I thought about how I wanted my life to mean more than just working a 9-5 job. There was never anything that really interested me career wise except for becoming a photographer. This might sound a little crazy but the thought of living a life where I was not doing something I loved drove me crazy.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m most proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish. I’ve had so many amazing experiences that involved creating that I’m forever grateful for. If you told me when I first got a camera that I would be taking pictures of more than just my friends I wouldn’t have believed you.
My biggest milestone so far was shooting for Bleu Claire at Academy LA. Getting to where I am at now has not been easy whatsoever.. it’s been full of doubt, and up and downs, but at the end of the day you just have to keep pushing and I’m so glad I have. The biggest lesson that I had to learn is that even when you get knocked back down you have to keep going. Take it all as a learning lesson and keep improving on your craft everyday.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Okay Okay there’s a lot of places I really enjoy in LA.. the top places I would take them would be : the Formosa, Tiki-Ti, Leo’s Taco Truck, Fat Sal’s, The echo/Echoplex, bar CDMX, Las Perlas, and Last but not least we would have to catch a show or two at 1720… I’ll describe a couple of the spots below..
The Formosa is a Chinese Restaurant/ Bar with beautiful interior design , Good food and drinks. It’s a staple in classic Hollywood.. shout out the 1933 group for keeping it alive.
Fat Sal’s and Leo’s are top choices for late night food.. at fat sals you can get a crazy sandwich… (the sandwich I get has pastrami, mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, fries and some other stuff).. and at Leo’s you can get some Al pastor tacos that literally melt in your mouth…
1720 And Echo/Echoplex to catch a show.. i love going to concerts it’s probably one of the things that keeps me sane lol.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this to all my friends and family who have supported me on my creative journey. I know at the end of the day no matter what I have people that believe in me and knowing that I have people rooting for me, it means I can’t fail.
Special shout out to my creative team.. they all have played a big part in helping me be best version I can be of myself…
