We had the good fortune of connecting with Interstellar Global CIC Benjamin, Rolando & Kodi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Interstellar Global CIC, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Being multi-cultured, self developing artists in the industry we have seen first hand the struggles and barriers faced to be able to create, make, learn and earn in music, performance and production. Three of us, Benjamin, Rolando and Kodi came together to create Interstellar Global after each facing our own barriers and struggles, and along the way envisioned a better more accessible future for the next generation of people who lived similar backgrounds to our own.
Interstellar Global is a Community Interest Company currently based in the heart of Liverpool, UK. We hire out spaces and venues across the city and expanding to surrounding cities in the UK to deliver workshops in music knowledge, platform building, song writing, dance, production, visuals, studio recording time, promotion and merchandise. Being based in Liverpool with the love of football we host community football tournaments which allows everyone in the community to get involved and show support.
We deliver all this is FREE to anyone that comes along as we are a non for profit social enterprise that relies on funding and donations to keep doing what we do.

What should our readers know about your business?
Interstellar Global are a bespoke team, we have experienced struggles and barriers faced with when trying to create, learn, make and earn in the industry, we believe in diversity and empowerment and that music, art and performance is medicine for so many. With our hard work, consistency and drive we are kicking down doors – so to speak, networking with studios, producers, performers and entrepreneurs making our mark in the city.

We have been blessed so far on our journey and have big plans for the future. We want to be able to create a positive and constructive place for people who may not be able to access professional training due to impoverished backgrounds.
Interstellar Global are planning to create our own “Home Hub” or “One Stop Shop” consisting of recording and dance studios for people of all different cultures and backgrounds to have a place to come broaden their minds, express and develop themselves freely in their craft with mentorship and support.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Liverpool is a diverse multi cultured city in the heart of the north west of England UK with plenty to do, as Artists and adventurers, one of the first places to hit in the city for shopping is obviously Liverpool One for Designer and High Street fashion, up on the Terrace area of Liverpool One is circulated by few restaurants and bars with a view of the famous Albert Docks, from the terrace a short walk over to the docks there is views over the Mersey river, museums to visit documenting the history of the city. Liverpool has their own type of accent not heard anywhere else in the UK this is called scouse, this is a sound once you hear it you dont forget and would recognise it anywhere.
Restaurants located on Bold street Elif serves Turkish BBQ with plenty veggie and vegan options too, there is also the Slug and Lettuce where we like to frequent for a brunch bite, Bem Brazil on Hanover street with all your meaty faves, these are to name a few.
For a party vibe we would hit the clubbing scene of the city, located in the famous Concert Square grabbing cocktails and drinks at clubs like SOHO, Pure, Ink and Modo catching a vibe and a dance.
If you love football Anfield would deffo be on the list to visit the world famous Liverpool Football Club Stadium, having personally experienced a live football match here, the energy from locals and visitors is beyond words to explain.
