Meet Erica Adams

We had the good fortune of connecting with Erica Adams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Erica, how does your business help the community?
Social impact is deeply woven into the work we do. While Erica Adams Design produces luxury events and experiences, I’ve always believed that gatherings can be powerful platforms for community connection and positive change. Many of our projects involve working alongside professional athletes, brands, and community leaders to highlight nonprofit organizations and support the work they’re doing in their communities.
Recently, I launched a philanthropic initiative called Home Court, which brings together athlete-led foundations and vetted nonprofits during major sports moments like NBA All-Star Weekend. The idea is simple: create a space where people can connect authentically, learn about meaningful work happening in the community, and find ways to support it.
Giving back has always been important to me. From my early work in nonprofit education to producing pro-bono events for organizations supporting women and families, I try to ensure that the work we do extends beyond beautiful events and contributes to something lasting.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career path hasn’t been linear, but every step along the way has shaped how I approach my work today as the founder of Erica Adams Design. After graduating from the University of Southern California (USC), I started my career in nonprofit education, where I helped create programming for high school students. That experience taught me a lot about community building and the impact that thoughtful initiatives can have on young people’s lives.
From there, I moved into the corporate world, first as a Recruiting Coordinator at Google and later as a Campus Recruiter at Ernst & Young. Those roles gave me a strong foundation in operations, relationship-building, and large-scale coordination. I was responsible for managing recruiting events, building relationships with universities, and coordinating programs that required a high level of organization and attention to detail. Looking back, those experiences were incredible training for what I do now as an Event Producer.
Eventually, I followed a passion for creating experiences and launched Erica Adams Design, which has grown into a boutique event production company producing luxury weddings, large-scale celebrations, and curated events for clients across the country.
What I’m most proud of right now is expanding the social impact side of my work. Recently I launched an initiative called Home Court, which brings together athlete-led foundations, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders during major sports moments like NBA All-Star Weekend. The goal is to create authentic spaces where people can learn about organizations doing meaningful work and build relationships that lead to real support for their missions.
Building a business certainly hasn’t been easy. Like many entrepreneurs, there have been moments of uncertainty and a lot of behind-the-scenes work that people don’t see. But one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the power of relationships and consistency. Showing up, doing great work, and building trust over time has opened doors I never could have predicted.
At the end of the day, what I want people to know about my brand is that it’s about more than producing beautiful events. Whether it’s a luxury wedding, a private celebration, or a social impact event involving professional athletes and community organizations, my goal is always to create experiences that bring people together in a meaningful and memorable way.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Assuming it’s a sunny, beautiful weekend in Los Angeles, we would start the day by exploring a cute neighborhood coffee shop or grabbing brunch somewhere local. I love the slower pace of mornings in LA, so we’d take our time, maybe do a little shopping in Culver City and then head toward the Westside to walk along the beach and enjoy the ocean.
In the evening, we’d plan a great dinner somewhere with a view and good cocktails. LA has so many amazing spots where you can watch the sunset and just soak in the energy of the city.
On Sunday, we’d start the morning with coffee again and then head to a church service at Believe LA in Calabasas. After that, we’d finish the weekend with a relaxed brunch outside somewhere beautiful good food, sunshine, and great conversation. That’s honestly one of my favorite ways to experience Los Angeles!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are a few communities and experiences that deserve a lot of credit in my journey. Before becoming an event producer, I spent time working in nonprofit education and youth mentorship, and that experience really shaped the way I think about bringing people together. Being around educators, nonprofit leaders, and community organizers showed me early on how powerful thoughtful programming and community-centered initiatives can be.
Those experiences continue to influence the work I do today as the founder and event producer behind Erica Adams Design, where I produce high-level events ranging from luxury weddings and private celebrations to social impact initiatives with professional athletes, brands, and nonprofit organizations. While many people know us for producing elevated weddings and curated events, a growing part of my work focuses on creating experiences that highlight athlete foundations, community organizations, and mission-driven projects.
I’m also incredibly grateful to the clients, collaborators, and community leaders who have trusted me with their vision over the years.
