We had the good fortune of connecting with Diamond Rubi Koblis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diamond, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I would say consistency and staying committed. It’s important to stay consistent with what you do, showing up for yourself and your clients. It also builds trust and credibility in what you offer and I feel that’s so important.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well, I get to show up to work everyday and create blinged out smiles I’d say it’s a pretty sweet deal! I not only do tooth gems I also own and operate the studio where we offer other services as well such as piercings. For me, becoming a tooth gem tech was a fun service I could offer to my clients to give them more of a reason to show off their smile. Our studio is coming up on almost a year now and the support and love we have gotten from our clients and community has been everything to me and I’m just over joyed that everyone loves what we offer..

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a huge coffee addict, so I would definitely take them to one of my personal favorite coffee shops Por Vida in Barrio Logan, then pop in right next door to beatbox records for some digging. You can’t visit San Diego without getting some tacos that’s always mandatory, Tacos el gordo is a staple and a must try. Sunset cliffs, liberty station, Little Italy/Hillcrest farmers market are some of my favorite spots to show friends around.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shout out to my husband Gary Koblis. If it wasn’t for him I definitely wouldn’t be in the position I am now. He is one of the hardest working people I have ever met in my life. His endless support, love and knowledge in guiding me threw my business endeavors does not go unnoticed, this couldn’t have happened without him, and I’m so grateful to have him by my side.
