We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher London and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christopher, how does your business help the community?
There’s something to be said about the state of society we are in. Everywhere you turn you see gas prices out of control, rising costs of goods, people debating politics, viruses, etc.

Do you remember what it was like being a kid and getting a new toy? That feeling is what we aim for when we get behind the decks and microphone to entertain an audience. I remember how it feels to be excited enough to want to celebrate something. Do you?

If we can help let barriers down and encourage people to forget about the craziness for a few hours at a time then that’s a battle won. But if we can create memories that last a lifetime then we’re really on to something.

What should our readers know about your business?
Christopher London DJ Service is a talent focused company. Our world class talent is what sets us apart from others in our industry. It took some time to handpick some of our talented team members but I think we’ve narrowed it down to who we enjoy working with the most.

I’m so proud of our team for many reasons! It isn’t just the reliability and work ethic, it’s what these guys bring to the table. Our team members have had the privilege’s of working with some of the world’s most renown music industry leaders. Anywhere from the Temptations to Charlie Wilson of the Gap Band, and Ne-yo, our talent is second to none in my opinion!

It wasn’t easy convincing others that our style of entertainment could be game-changing but we are slowly getting there. We’ve grown to learn that if you build it passion, then others will see that passion and want to be a part of what you represent.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would say the city of Detroit and surrounding areas in general would be a great start. Anything from the Motown Museum to a local Coney Island for some classic Detroit coney dogs would be my choice. And if you’re in town for the summer, make sure to grab yourself an Oberon beer, you’ll thank me later 😉

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Too many to count really.

First off, I’d like to acknowledge my wife Summar London for all the support I’ve received. Late nights at the clubs and bars after DJing, not being home on the weekends for almost 2 decades now, and all the stress it caused financially before we got to this point. She is my rock and supports any ambition of mine regardless of how silly it may seem.

I would love to also acknowledge all the DJs and producers who inspired me along the way on this crazy journey. DJ A.M., Kaskade, Mike Ault, DJ Scene, Antonio Aguilera, DJ Qbert and many more I can’t mention to avoid a long list.
