Meet Christine Ngwazini | Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christine Ngwazini and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christine, what matters most to you?
Integrity. For me, integrity means moving with honesty, fairness and authenticity. It is principle that has always been important to me and means even more to me now as an injector. When clients sit in my chair, that’s what drives the experience from start to finish. It’s all about trust. As a client you’re not only trusting my skillset and expertise but trusting me to give you the best results possible while giving you honest advice on how to get those results.
What should our readers know about your business?
Have you ever looked at someone you haven’t seen for a while and thought, “wow they look amazing” but couldn’t figure out exactly that they did? That right there is my specialty. I love making subtle changes that lead to the “wow factor” without totally giving away what we did to your face. My first point of reference when I assess a face is to look at the features that already exist and figure out how to enhance them for the best result.
I started my career as a nurse in women’s health which gave me a great foundation for anatomy and the human body. When I first started looking into aesthetics, I thought it was all superficial and fake. But I was so wrong. As I started to dig deeper and learn more about different treatments, I realized that achieving natural but impactful results is an art form.
I quickly learned that at the end of the day, we all want to look good and feel good. It makes me happy to be able to do that for people everyday.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Hmm that’s a good question, one thing my friends and I all have in common is that we’re foodies. Some of my favorite spots would be coffee shops like the WestBean, Holsem, and and lofty coffee for the mornings. For brunch the top spots would be The Cottage or Caroline’s Seaside Cafe in La Jolla. And of course it wouldn’t be a proper San Diego trip without taking in the beautiful beach views so the Torrey Pines hike would be next on the list. On a nice day a beach stroll followed by sunset drinks at Monarch would be amazing would be the perfect end to the day.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Whew! How much time do we have? I know it sounds cliche but I simply wouldn’t be here without the people who helped me along the way. Starting with my mom who encouraged me to become a nurse in the first place. Growing up I watched her work so hard to get to where she is now despite the odds that we’re against her and it continues to motivate me today. When it came to pushing through my nurse practitioner program and opening my business, my husband played such a supportive role and has continued to be my rock during all the highs and lows of running a business. There’s not enough words to thank them and my good friends for their support.
