We had the good fortune of connecting with Christina Bamaca and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christina, how do you think about risk?
Risk is the biggest factor in my career. I am a Realtor. We do not get an hourly wage or salary. We have to build our brand from the ground up. We hang our licenses with the brokerage we feel will give us the best chance at success, but it is essentially our business. Becoming a Realtor or Real Estate Agent is an investment, and a heavy risk. You get out of it what you put into it, and I put my all into it. This isn’t just another job, it is who you are. That is how you can recognize the best in my field. You know them as Realtors.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a 3rd generation Realtor. I took the risk of starting this business because of the passion and excitement I have always felt with anything concerning homes. Me and my mom used to sit on the couch, eating ice cream, and watching house hunters. It was so significant in my life, that when I had the chance to either work in website design and development, or go into real estate, I couldn’t help but to go for my dream. Anyone can work and make money, but not everyone gets the chance to experience the look on a family’s face when they walk into their new home, filled with relief and joy. Or help sell a couple’s family home, so they can retire with the knowledge that they got the best price, and someone new will love and cherish their home. You have to love what you do, or it will drain you, and I absolutely love it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First stop is Rob’s Brewpoint. It is hand’s down the best coffee shop in SD! Then head over to beautiful Ocean Beach, or Santee Lakes for some fishing and paddle boating! We have got to hit up Main Street in El Cajon to watch the car show! Then we hunt down my new favorite food truck, Good Vibes Eats. I love finding all the small business spots! 2 of the mentioned are owned by friends of mine!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would not have pushed myself so hard without the support and encouragement of my entire family. I have a husband, Alex, and 3 children, Arianna, Eliezer, and Araceli who have supported my dream of this business to such an extent that I am left in awe sometimes. I couldn’t do this without their understanding and cheering from the sidelines. Thank you my loves!
