Meet Brian Villanueva | CEO and founder of Seamless Manufacturing

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brian Villanueva and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brian, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting Seamless Manufacturing was a natural progression for me, driven by a deep-seated passion for creativity and a desire for independence. Prior to founding Seamless, I was fully immersed in the plumbing industry, but I often found myself yearning for more. The thought of working under someone else in an industry that didn’t ignite my passion was unappealing. I knew I needed a career path that would allow me to unleash my creativity while fostering meaningful connections with clients—an area where I naturally excelled.

The apparel industry stood out to me as the perfect intersection of artistry and entrepreneurship. I saw an opportunity to not only express my creativity but also to build a business centered around forming lasting partnerships. Networking has always been a strength of mine, and I knew I could leverage this skill to cultivate strong relationships within the industry.

Establishing Seamless Manufacturing was a leap of faith, but one that has paid off immensely.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Throughout my career, I’ve embraced challenges as opportunities for growth, striving to set myself apart through dedication, integrity and a relentless pursuit of excellence. The early days of Seamless Manufacturing were filled with hurdles, especially in building relationships and earning trust as a newcomer in the industry. I understood the importance of credibility and reliability in establishing my brand, and I was determined to overcome skepticism through a client-oriented approach, hard work and attention to detail.

My drive to persevere through challenges stems from a deep-rooted determination to never settle for mediocrity. I view every setback as a chance to learn and grow, refusing to let fear of failure hold me back. My family, particularly my wife and two children, serve as powerful motivators, inspiring me to push harder and lead by example.

Today, Seamless Manufacturing is thriving, thanks to the grit and resilience that have been instrumental in our success. Despite facing challenges, I remain focused on the positive aspects of the journey, always shifting my mindset to a positive one. This resilience has not only helped us overcome obstacles but has also propelled us toward greater success. I’ve learned that setbacks are temporary and they can often lead to new and better opportunities. This commitment and outloos has helped Seamless Manufacturing achieve remarkable growth and success.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Most of my friends have children, just like me. So of course, my itinerary would look a little more family-friendly. I would make sure to show them the best of what the area has to offer, with a focus on family-friendly activities, great food and beautiful scenery all across SoCal, including OC, IE, LA and San Diego.

First, we’d visit the hidden gems of Riverside, the city that Seamless Manufacturing is located in. We’d check out the Mission Inn and its surrounding areas and stop at Fuego Hibachi for a little lunch. We’d continue exploring Riverside’s museums and historical landmarks, ending our day in Riverside with a visit to Mario’s Place, a delicious Italian restaurant.

The next couple of days, we would head out to San Diego. The first day would include a visit the San Diego Zoo, which would end with a nice rooftop dinner at the hotel or dinner at a beachfront restaurant in La Jolla. The next day, we’d continue our excursion in Old Town San Diego to explore the historic sites and enjoy one of the many restaurant spots, like the Old Town Tequila Factory Restaurant & Cantina.

For OC, we’d have to make a stop at Disneyland (more specifically, California Adventure to enjoy a cocktail or two while strolling through the park). Of course, we’d have a full day of eating here, but would have to hit up Carthay Circle Restaurant for dinner! The next day would have a bit more of a relaxing vibe, where we’d head to Crystal Cover State Park for a relaxing beach day. This place is gorgeous and we’d have to stop for brunch at the Beachcomber. After a day in the sun, we’d head back to our hotel and get ready for a nightcap at Javier’s in Newport.

As we headed to LA the next day to wrap up our family trip, we would start by taking a day trip to visit the Griffith Observatory. We’d grab lunch in Hollywood and explore the Walk of Fame. If time permits, we’d end the evening at Santa Monica Pier, enjoying the rides and games.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’m fortunate to be surrounded by an incredible network of individuals who have been a constant source of motivation and inspiration for me. Throughout my journey with Seamless Manufacturing, I’ve had the privilege of meeting many talented and knowledgeable individuals, each of whom has contributed to my growth in unique ways. The combined knowledge and wisdom I’ve gained from these interactions have had a profound and positive impact on my life.

I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to my colleague, Richard Cordova, the owner of ID Activewear. Richard has been a mentor and a guide to me, especially during the early stages of launching Seamless Manufacturing. His insights and expertise in navigating the financial aspects of running a business were invaluable. Richard’s support and guidance helped me lay a solid foundation for the success of my company. I also want to extend my thanks to all the other individuals, groups, and organizations who have supported me along the way.
