Meet Bri Grajkowski: Creative Director & Food Blogger

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bri Grajkowski and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bri, who had the biggest influence on your career?
My family has been the biggest influence on my career and business. I had always wanted to start my own business but I really never thought it was possible until I had my daughter. I also really wanted to be home more with her. I was laid off when she was one month old and it gave me the extra time I wanted with her and I had some time to research how to start a business. I also watched my brother and my parents build businesses and it taught me a lot about how to get started and how to keep going. My husband has always supported me by encouraging me and helping me figure out next steps. Having my family as my support system has made the greatest impact in my business.

BriGeeski is a graphic design & creative marketing agency with a food + lifestyle blog. We work with brands to bring creative marketing solutions to their business and to highlight the brands we love. Solutions include concept to completion on identity, branding, web design, print, online storytelling and unique marketing concepts. We believe in taking care of yourself, pursuing your dreams and authentically telling stories. We are passionate about design, travel, awesome food and fun! We work with businesses to help with their marketing and creative projects. The food and lifestyle blog features travel, recipes, fab food, design and some of our favorite spots from our home town of San Diego. I am really proud of a recent recipe I created during the stay at home orders. It’s for sheet pan bratwurst with potatoes and veggies. It has been a fan favorite since it’s easy, healthy and hearty! I’ve seen so many people recreate the recipe and share it with others and that has made me so proud. I believe what sets me apart is that I have the design eye that helps me make things look easy, clear and fun! I believe I got to where I am today by never giving up. I’ve had plenty of slow months and difficult moments where I wasn’t sure what to do. Sticking with it, moving forward even when it didn’t feel like it and trying new things has kept me in business. I’ve learned that you really have to enjoy what you are doing, have a solid framework for the business and listen to your gut. I want the world to know that BriGeeski is the place for creative marketing solutions and everyday inspiration. The blog features everyday recipes, travel ideas, things to do in San Diego and life as a mompreneur. For any businesses who need help on their creative direction, BriGeeski is the spot to get you started!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would start out in Little Italy with lunch at King & Queen Cantina, dinner at Monello and a stay at La Pensione. The hotel is right across the Little Italy Food Hall with a beautiful space to enjoy the afternoon. Saturday morning would start at breakfast at Morning Glory then a stroll through the streets of the Little Italy Mercato. I would pick up lunch at Not Not Tacos and head to Kettner Exchange for rooftop drinks. The next adventure would be at the Bahia for 2 nights on the bay. We would catch some sun, paddle board and take the Bahia Belle cruise in the evening. This spot is a short walk over to Mission Bay to walk around Belmont Park and play miniature golf. I would spend a night at the Kona Kai Resort and Spa and enjoy the poolside DJ. To end out the week, I would do some beach camping in Carlsbad.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to shout out The Mira Mesa Mompreneurs! This group of ladies have been incredibly supportive, loving and encouraging. We typically get together once per month to discuss our goals, struggles and learn from each other. I’ve really enjoyed having this group of likeminded people to discuss anything business or mompreneur related!
