We had the good fortune of connecting with Breyane (bre) Stattel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Breyane (Bre), can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My small business, From Bre To You, was launched right around my daughter’s 1st birthday party. After having my daughter in 2022 I paused working a traditional job to stay at home and care for our new baby. Throughout my life I have always enjoyed crafting and using my creativity in new ways, whether it be through gift giving or festive decorations around the house. I started by hand making a tiki themed gift basket for Lily’s Baby Shark birthday party. I then created more customized gift baskets for many different holidays and occasions (Christmas, birthdays, baby showers, bridal parties, etc.) I soon realized I had found my niche- helping those who struggle with gift ideas for their loved ones. Each of my gift baskets are made to order and include a personal touch! I soon branched out into making other seasonal crafts including centerpieces, wreaths, magnets, candles, and graduation money leis.
Aside from being a wife and stay at home mom I am embracing my new title as small business owner. I find joy in utilizing my artistic abilities and relieving customers of the stress and time required to shop for presents. I have also had the privilege of collaborating with other local, small business owners as I believe it is important to support one another. Some events my work has been a part of were the Playdate with Peanut raffle hosted by The Mom Walk San Diego and the 2024 Valley Center Pageant raffle. I am grateful that I get the opportunity to do something with my hobby as I am surrounded by friends and family who provide support in more ways than one.
So, the next time you’re in need of an original and personalized gift, or just want something fun and festive, look no further than from me to you, or should I say…From Bre To You!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I believe what sets my work apart from others is that I love to personalize my crafts with a name, initial, or any other customization requests to really ensure I am giving the customer what they want. For example, when I receive a gift basket order I really strive to make the recipient feel like it was tailored to them by focusing on their interests, hobbies, and other favorite things I can include in the piece. I enjoy being able to utilize creativity and originality in my work. I am a firm believer in shopping small and supporting local small businesses. Additionally, I believe in supporting other stay at home moms who are working towards their goals and managing a business, while taking care of children simultaneously. The hashtag #SupportYourLocalStayAtHomeMom exemplifies this, as seen on all my posts on social media.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I was born and raised in San Diego so I’ve been to many different spots around town. One restaurant I would absolutely recommend for food would be Panya Thai Kitchen located in Escondido. It has been our favorite place to go when craving a delicious Thai cuisine. For drinks, I would recommend heading to downtown San Diego and checking out the speakeasies. One that I love is Noble Experiment, as the drinks are custom made! San Diego offers many family friendly activities such as SeaWorld, Belmont Park, Zoo, and Balboa park for a wide variety of museums. For date night or nightlife with live music, you can head over to downtown Encinitas as it has a cute little beach town vibe.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my supportive family and friends who have not only ordered and purchased my work but have helped me with advertising. Roger, my wonderful husband, has been my number one throughout this journey. I’ve been able to express myself through crafting without financial limitations or time constraints. He provided me with my workspace and any supplies I’m in need of. I’m also very grateful for my family members who have been consistently promoting my small business to coworkers and friends, which allows for growth through word of mouth.
