We had the good fortune of connecting with Blyssey Ballo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Blyssey, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
As a Licensed Esthetician, I know that skin care treatments have to be 100% customized during each visit. My former place of employment was a very cookie cut format and I didn’t like that, so I decided to open up Studio Blyss so I can make sure all my clients get exactly what they need everytime they get a professional facial in Orange County!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a proud California Licensed Esthetician and International Award Winning Esthetician! I love my career and find it very rewarding to not only improve my clients’ skin, but also educate them on proper skin care habits and changes. I opened up Studio Blyss immediately after getting my license with zero clientele and took a big risk. I’m proud of how far I’ve come over the last 5 years and through a pandemic. Starting off was scary, but I felt confident I was going to succeed because this is my passion and I was going to do everything and anything to make sure I am where I am today. Starting a business is hard and you’re working practically 24/7, but I’m so thankful and appreciative that I am my own boss. 🙂

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Disneyland – duh!! 🙂

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
So many people and organizations I know deserve a shoutout! Definitely my family and friends to start with – they are a big ongoing support system. I’m thankful for my beauty school I attended for giving me a strong foundation, Santa Ana Beauty Academy and for all the beauty tradeshows that hold yearly events to make sure I can network with fellow peers and further my education.
