Hi Barbara, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
Pursue Your Life with More Meaning By Barbara Eldridge For over ten years I had been a distributor for a company, marketing their programs on planning, goal setting, time management and management. But it was a frustrating and challenging time. The company was not supporting those of us in the field with new programs to sell. Other local distributors were in litigation with them, all the while the Company was asking me for support. After running that business that focused mostly on helping small business owners set and achieve Goals, I found myself frustrated. Although I was a high sales and goal achiever, I felt something was missing. I was setting goals in all areas of my life but there was no sense of fulfillment. Have you ever felt that way, day after day? What I discovered was missing was a central personal force, a purpose that would guide my ambitions, so I could set a personal vision, and goals in all areas of my life. I took a step back and looked at several ways to explore what was hiding inside myself. Here are some questions I asked: ♦ Who do I most admire in the world? ♦ Look at all the areas of your life, what do I want to be remembered for? ♦ What would people say, I am really good at! My answers did not show up overnight, but as I worked on these questions that ah, ha moment struck. As I began to live in a more purposeful way, even my husband noticed a change. In order to find a more fulfilling way to enjoy my work, I reached out to my own Mastermind group for answers as to whether or not to stay with the big company or figure out another path to take. To my amazement, they encouraged me to start mastermind groups for others as I had been instrumental in doing for them. They cheered me on, those positive expectations gave me the confidence to take that next big step without “big” brother company looking over my shoulder. Over the last thirty years, as founder and owner of Mind Masters™. I am living my purpose using my important values and planning and completing goals that honor those values. With a great sense of purpose I am happy and enjoy fulfillment in all I do. We all have certain gifts at our core, and for the most part, those gifts are totally unrealized. We each have a significant contribution to make in this lifetime. I call this contribution our higher purpose. It always involves being yourself totally, completely and naturally and doing something or many things that you genuinely love to do, that comes easily to you. As you learn to follow your feelings, dreams and visions, to explore doing things you love, you begin to discover your higher purpose. Every moment is a moment of creation and each moment of creation contains infinite possibilities. If you haven’t taken this journey, I Challenge you to pursue your personal purpose, it will change your life.

What should our readers know about your business?
Over the last 30 years I have facilitated the growth and development of thousands small and micro/entrepreneurial businesses. My Mind Masters™ program has stood the test of time with business owners because my experience taught me that one small business owner cannot possess or process the necessary knowledge or technology to keep pace. Mind Masters™ gives professionals the avenue to tap the expertise of others yet support each other in staying focused to the daily activity necessary to reach their goals. I work with the sole proprietors who need a sounding board, his/her own Board of Directors. This resource is often not available to him by virtue of the fact that his/her business is indeed a “small business”. Emphasizing to members how to trust in their hopes, not their fears, I continually stress vision, purpose and values as the key elements of any business philosophy. This is part of what makes the Mind Masters™ environment fertile for ideas, encouragement, learning and goal setting. As first year clients, 80% of the businesses see a 25-35% increase in sales directly related to the Mind Masters™ program.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The Beach for one, as many as we had time for. We would eat at the Hotel Del Coronado and visit Old Town and Little Italy. The Marine Room in La Jolla when the Ocean is splashing up to the windows. then drive up Coast Highway 101 and shop in Encinitas and Carlsbad.
