Hi April, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I think a factor of behind the success with our business is the foundation on which it’s built on. Knowing why you’re doing what you’re doing. I wanted our foundation to be rooted in Jesus Christ. I want our coffee cart to not only serve delicious quality coffee but also radiant love, kindness and joy through our customer service. Life is hard as it is but if we can brighten someone’s day with the love of Jesus and coffee, then it’s totally worth it. I think that’s what people really like about our business, the overall experience!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When I was in college I worked as a barista. Being in coffee industry inspired me to one day open up my own coffee shop. I wanted to start with something a little more simple like a coffee cart. This “simple coffee cart” became a lot more than that. Here at Happy Gal Coffee we are dedicated to making every cup of coffee with high quality and every experience memorable and meaningful!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Weekend itinerary!

– Go to Malibu farm house for breakfast
– Walk around seaport village
– Go try a new coffee shop
– Maybe head down La Jolla

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I will always give glory to my lord and savior, Jesus Christ. When I read the Bible, I get so inspired by the character of God. Jesus demonstrates humility, selflessness, love, compassion and so much more. These are the qualities I try to radiate within my business.
