We had the good fortune of connecting with Anil Pal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anil, what inspires you?
There’s this quote that I always go back to whenever I have feelings of doubt
“There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.”
My inspiration for starting my own Personal Training Business fundamentally, is helping people improve their lives through fitness, seeing the impact fitness had not only on my clients physical health, but ALL aspects of their lives.
Seeing somebody:
Finally have the confidence to take their shirt off at the beach
Seeing someone finally fit into their Wedding Dress
Finally Bench 225
Show me that their Blood Sugar went back down to healthy levels
Feel more confident in their relationship with their significant other
I could go on and on.
These are the things that keep me going. My ultimate goal is to help as many people as possible!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My overall goal is to help people improve their lives through fitness. What I believe sets me apart is my Training Practices, I try to combine aspects of Bodybuilding/Kinesiology/Yoga and combine them in order to create optimal programs for my clients. We live in a stress filled society, I want to provide an outlet for that and at the same time improve peoples lives, that is my ultimate goal.
I made the decision to start my own Personal Training Business During the COVID-19 Pandemic, difficult as that was I managed to push through it and hopefully for years to come.
The biggest lesson/skill I learned was Big-Picture thinking. I’ve always been an overthinker, Constantly worried over the smallest things, little setbacks, details etc. Learning how to create the “Big Picture” ie. End goal, its a lot easier/simpler to navigate day to day challenges when you are working towards a ultimate goal.
My main training philosophy is that you don’t have to be extreme, just consistent. Fitness should enhance your life, not consume it. With my athletes, I take a holistic approach. No matter what your goals are, injury prevention and proper movement patterns are key to long term sustainability. In the beginning I focused on identifying faulty motor patterns, mobility deficits, and strength imbalances that could not only injure you, but slow down your progress toward your more direct goal as well. It isn’t just enough to work hard; you have to work hard and smart. My ultimate goal is to provide the knowledge that you need in order to get you to your goals efficiently and effectively. Whether your goals are to build muscle, lose fat or increase athletic performance.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are SO many good food spots in Temecula, but the one that I would pick is Mad Madeline’s Grill, They have the BEST BURGERS in Temecula by far. I also enjoy Wine Country Tours, Wine country has some beautiful sights and awesome Wineries. I would hang out at Old Town Temecula, there are so many things to do besides Eat, A place that I’ve enjoyed regularly is Old Town Nutrition, they have some really good drinks. I would also take them to Pechanga Casino & Resort to hang out, specifically their Pool is really nice and the Buffet too haha
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are quite a few people I wanna name but for purposes of this article I would like to shoutout Dereck Soro, Owner of Legacy Training and Fitness located in Murrieta, CA. He has not only been a huge inspiration to my own business ventures but has greatly expanded my own knowledge as a fitness coach.
