We had the good fortune of connecting with Amalia Consuelo Alduenda and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amalia Consuelo, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
There are many reasons why I had to venture and create my own path. Since I was a kid I could see the potential for my home to become Lagunitas organics, an organic greenhouse that supply’s vegetables and medicinal plants like lavender & sage. It is part of the bigger vision of Lagunitas Sanctuary to be a safe haven, a mixture of vortex energy, holistic healing, ceremonies and community. This is a place one can come to enjoy an energizing, relaxing & revitalizing time. I have always wanted to do Reiki in a nature setting and this is where I am building my dream holistic spa. Giving people access to a nature sanctuary where they can come to connect to their higher selves.
This vision of Lagunitas Sanctuary was birthed from a combination of spiritual ceremonies happening on my land which is what led me to co-found Spirit Connect, an organization focused on facilitating consciousness oriented events providing safe spaces for all to come and connect to their true nature. Spirit Connect is how I am taking my medicine of connecting nature to a global audience. I saw how there are many false facilitators in the healing community who are involved for capital gain. As someone who was brought up with Shaman’s and healing ceremonies like the Sacred Temazcal, I had to step in and bring true spiritual medicine and connection to people.
The truth is we are all healers for ourselves however there are some of us that are able to hold space for others and transmute for others which is what a true healer should do and I have come across many people claiming the term shaman when they are not fully understanding the role of transmuting energy for others. I am here to remind everyone of their own divinity. I am working with communities to build and create temples, sanctuaries and sacred safe space across the globe for others to come together and empower themselves with the guidance of ancestral healers. I want to see a world with more safe places for people to explore their multidimensional selves through practices of meditations and true knowing of self.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Through the Danza la Madre Tierra (Mother Earth Dance) I was able to develop my connection to Mother Nature. With Temazcal I was able to be in a community of enlightened individuals. I have been spiritually spoiled since a child surrounded by a community of healers & shamans which deeply impacted me. I remember being a little girl at this event and saying I wanted to be the dancers, I wanted to be the healers, I wanted to be the lady with the sage, and now I am. I was fortunate to grow up with this connection and because I did, I feel it is my duty to connect the new generations to these ancestral practices of honoring nature for all she does for us. I desire to share Temazcal and translate the importance of these powerful healing ceremonies. I feel it’s my responsibility in the new age of the “california shaman” world to bring this connection and remind the spiritual community the role of true shamans and the work that has been taking place here in Baja California.
I am excited about the big vision and how it will play out, the community that is forming in harmony with nature. It brings great joy to organize events for the community, sharing my channeled tree mediations, to meet and share the journey with others, creating space for others to be heard and held with love so that they can heal. It has definitely not been easy to arrive at this point in time. Many timelines have merged into this present now for me to be ready and prepared for all that I am creating. I feel this timeline was always the goal to reach and I believe I am living in my highest timeline. From my organizations one can always expect to be receiving cosmic support, love and healing always from the source of all things.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Okay when in San Diego I always love to go to chris’ liquor deli in Sunset to have a bagel and babe kombucha for breakfast. Make sure to savor your first bite till you get to the cliffs and set down your picnic blanket. This is always a great place to enjoy a morning. After I eat, I might practice some breathwork, read a book, journal or meditate listening to the waves crash or simply enjoy looking out at surfers in the ocean. For lunch I might enjoy a slice of pizza from Mr. Motos in Seaport Village. There is a beautiful view of Coronado bridge and downtown. Before heading out, I’d stop to get a scoop of Berry Berry extraordinary from Ben & Jerrys (My favorite). Before dinner let’s take a drive through Balboa park and look at cultural art. This is a great place to get lost in the world of art. For dinner we are going to Burger Lounge to enjoy a vegan burger with the best seasoned onion rings and fries of San Diego. I always get extra onion rings when I eat here, you just have to. If you will be staying in SD longer I highly suggest you check availability to Spirit Connect’s next Summit or community event, these are spiritual retreats you don’t want to miss. Well I hope you enjoyed this tour of my favorite places to go and eat while visiting San Diego.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost I would like to give acknowledgement to my dearest parents for their hard love that pushed me to live a multidimensional life embodying the woman I came to this earth to be.
Next I have to give a shoutout to my grandma elder Shaman Kathy, she paved the way for my deep connection to nature through her example and the years she has spent organizing and leading Baja California’s Danza la Madre Tierra (Mother Earth Dance), a three day community event with healers, shamans and multiple sacred ceremonies.
I want to honor and thank my younger self for following my intuition and allowing myself to transmute the past into fuel for a life I love. I am grateful for the hard choices I had to make, and the alchemy my younger self committed to so that I could become the best version of myself. For taking leaps of faith when I felt the universe pushing forward. Our younger selves have done so many things that helped us survive or overcome obstacles to get where we are. I’d like to remind others to remember to take moments of gratitude and thanks for your younger self and all the work you’ve done to overcome whatever you’ve been through in the past.
There is a long list of people to mention, my family, friends, and partner for supporting me and helping me figure out how to chart my path in this life. I am deeply grateful for them all, all their love and believing in my vision. It truly is because of my support system that I am able to create otherwise I would have not seen this timeline be a reality.
