We had the good fortune of connecting with Adam Vox (cuevas) and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adam, what do you attribute your success to?
Being consistent for sure. Consistency is the closest thing to perfect.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My content may seem somewhat generic at first glance as it’s mostly voice acting and motivational life experiences but the primary focus of it all is and always will be the story.
I’m still a long way away from where I want to be (which is a good thing) but I’ve found that listening to your audience in what they want is a really great (and obvious) way to make content their in to.
When people think of me I want them to think about the power of stories. They are all around us and they affect pretty much everything thing we do or don’t do.
Stories make us think, those thoughts become emotions and we act on those emotions. And action shapes not only the world, but the future. So if you wanna change the world, you just need to tell the right kind of story.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a big fan of downtown and the Gas Lamp District, especially during Comic con. Seaport village is a great place to grab some souvenirs and see the sights. There’s the zoo, fashion valley, silver strand beach, Sea World, and my personal favorite Old Town.
As far as food goes, In-N-Out is an absolute must, along with the Cheesecake Factory. Aside from that get some SoCal Mexican food (California burritos and carne asada fries) and your good to go.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Alex Hormozi for making business really easy to understand.
Dr. Simon Sinek for teaching me that our true purpose is to help others.
My friend Michael (First Room) for helping and supporting me in content creation.
And most importantly my wife, for putting up with me all this time.
