We had the good fortune of connecting with Abhinav Jain and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Abhinav, what’s your definition for success?
I’ll share how I think about success by first sharing what I think success is NOT.
Success is NOT permanent.
Success is NOT comparing myself to be better than someone else.
Success is NOT waking up with the feeling of lack and misery.
Success is NOT being upset with myself, or resenting my decisions.
Success is NOT having an ungrateful heart.

I believed success meant having millions of dollars, a big house, fast cars and cigars! As I’m turning 29 soon, I’ve re-assessed, what success really looks like to me. Success to me, is having control over my time and peace in my mind. I struggle with an overwhelming amount of negative emotions and therefore success to me is a daily mission. It’s waking up, finding balance, getting centered, grounded, being grateful, and recognizing the opportunities ahead. Overcoming negative emotions, not staying in a state of dis-satisfaction or feeling incomplete. that’s the benchmark that I use to see if I’m “successful within myself” because the state of my inner climate directly reflects how I act in this world. Keeping my mind still enough to value the present moment more than wanting a future outcome is a constant reminder to come back into what is happening now. Just like the sun has to rise again each day, I have to face new & ongoing changes every day. So setting up a routine that allows me to blossom into a balanced human being has become my definition of success. For anyone reading this who struggles with something similar to what I described, I urge you to explore the power of introspection, meditation, exercise and communication.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a kid I never enjoyed studying and had a tough time focusing on anything I was dis-interested in. I played music at an early age. Thanks to my Mom encouraging me to do artistic and creative activities. I played various types of drums, from traditional eastern drums to the western rock and roll. I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of performing. Despite my challenges in school I pushed through and became a computer science engineer. With the performer personality I knew, I would quickly find myself using my technical background to go higher up in business rather than stay at the engineering level. I’ve done exactly that! I’ve taken an outgoing personality coupled with my technical background and now I consult and train fortune 100, fortune 500 companies on automating their business processes and give them more time to do human-ly things. I’ve been in the enterprise business industry now for 8+ years. But I did not forget about my love for music, I have built my own Media studio in 2018 for recording podcasts and music, called Blossom Media Studio. The goal is to create a space to get better at speaking and sharing ideas over the internet with ease and the ability to scale distribution across all social media platform of today ( LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube etc ) What started out as a project, continues to evolve into a content creation and marketing service for Podcasters catered towards entrepreneurs, consultants, and consumer brands trying to tell their story and create a community. I’ve overcome every challenge with time, prayer, and a strong support group of a close few. The lessons I’ve learned and continue to be reminded of is “Patience” Everything works out when you are patient and give it the time it deserves. If there’s anything I want the world to know about me or my brand is that I keep it 100% real. That’s why I go by @TheRealAbhinav. I don’t ever want to deceive you or make you think I’m better than anybody, I just share my truth and have good intentions behind everything I do and I let the chips fall as they may.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If you’re hanging out with me, here’s a little taste of what we can do. Morning meditation with me at law st. beach, we have to start the day off right, locals call this spot the “grassy knoll”. From there I’m getting on my bike with you on your favorite mode of transportation and we will cruise from Pacific Beach Boardwalk down to Mission Beach with open ocean views circling the mission bay down to crown point. ( watch out though, it does get busy and sandy ) There is nowhere else in San Diego that has such a lengthy paved path along the water. For a bite on the go we can hit up Areli’s taco shop hands down best cali burrito in PB ( better than Vallarta’s there I said it ) grab drinks at the beachfront JRDN Restaurant with style. Finally head on down to PB Point where you get an up close view at some of the best surfers in San Diego. We can definitely sit here for hours and smoke some of my favorite padron cigars.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, a HUGE shout out to the universe for creating me, giving me love from my family and manifesting my lovely wife to be my companion. I’m recently married and we’ve been dating since 2016. We met as dream chasers who wanted to build a balanced life where we could lift each other up and live with passion. Fast forward to now, we are doing exactly this! Living in pacific beach and making sure we are pursuing the daily goal of being fully involved in what we do! My wife, Mimi Jain, has started her own business practice on Garnett Ave helping local businesses simplify thier Taxes and business development. https://www.miminjain.com/
