One of my favorite quotes that I can stand by is from Jim Rohn. It goes “Don’t ask for security, ask for adventure. Better to live 30 years full of adventure than a 100 years safe in the corner.” Now, what that means to me is everyone is giving one life with no do overs, no respawns and no second chance. I believe that everyone should go out and follow their passion. Whatever it maybe, we should all feel alive. Adapt and over come. There’s a lot of people who will say things can’t be done but, if you put your mind and heart into it you can accomplish anything. Also it’s big for our company because we started in a backyard with limited tools, supplies, and knowledge. But after awhile you can make it work and get what you need. Ruth Bader Ginsburg said that she wanted to be remembered as “someone who used whatever talent she had to do her work to the very best of her ability. And to help repair tears in her society, to make things a little better through the use of whatever ability she has.” While I don’t have even an ounce of the talent of Supreme Court Justice Notorious RBG, I like this quote because it’s about using whatever talent you have to make things even just a little better in society. Suddenly, the bar for achievement isn’t making rulings from America’s highest court to end discrimination on the basis of sex, but scaled down to my own abilities! It forced me to think hard about what I’m good at and how this can be used to make things even a little bit better for others. Read more>>
