We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabriela Kabande and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gabriela, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Gabriela Kabande Collection started many years ago as a dream and transformed into my life project. I was always fascinated by the fashion industry and mostly in handbags. I would see them as a marvelous accessory that gave you a touch of femininity and pulls any outfit together. What woman doesn’t want to look and feel her best? I knew going in that it wasn’t going to be easy to get into the fashion world, designing unique pieces, and bringing them to life in production. However, I knew that there is never an easy path to greatness and I was confident in myself that I could do it! I decided to work day and night to bring about my dream – making Gabriela Kabande Collection an internationally recognizable brand.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Gabriela Kabande Collection was initially brought to life with the intention of bringing out the confidence in whoever wears my designs. I am a huge promoter of expressing yourself in a way that makes you happy and confident – that’s why our designs are extremely unique. From bright, colorful, and metallic shades of leather, to fringes, buttons, and fun patterns, rest assured that any Gabriela Kabande Collection product is handcrafted with a purpose.

It’s never easy to start off a business with a different purpose than most – my main goal was to help others express themselves through fashion the way I did when I was a little girl (and now!) The biggest life lesson I learned was to keep pushing forward and reminding yourself that you can achieve anything you set your mind to!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I definitely didn’t achieve what I have achieved alone. We’re always open to advice and the wisdom of others who are willing to help our projects. You need a strong team of great people to make it happen! Starting a business from scratch takes many hours of hard work and sacrifice to plan, strategize, and complete any project. My family’s never ending support and unconditional love for me has been invaluable! I’m infinitely grateful for every positive word, advice, and the overall support I’ve been given throughout this incredible journey.
