We had the good fortune of connecting with Gus Alon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gus, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
The number of different ways a T-shirt is decorated and how the process works.

What should our readers know about your business?
After 15 years plus in the decorative apparel industry, I still have passion for the business, but I needed to do something outside the box. I tossed around ideas for about a year and then The Mobile Print Shop by LTP was born. Being a people person and someone that loves to attend events (concerts, festivals, car shows) and of course love for the apparel business, I thought why not combine them all and bring the decorative apparel industry to the people.

We offer decorative apparel live and on location. We take photos from cameras or cell phones and print them on high quality t-shirts and more as they wait. Since this was a new concept, many did not understand what my business offered, however, once people started to see me creating the custom t-shirts on site and the final product, their reaction was always excitement.

As a long time small business owner, having passion for what you do and the support of family are key to getting through any challenges and obstacles. This is what helped me in times where I may have wanted to give up.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Living in California, we have access to many different places. My favorite would be camping on the beach so I would take them on a trip up and down our coast. We’d stop at local restaurants and bars and of course skateparks.

We can even add a quick road trip to Vegas and stay the night at one of my favorite hotels on the strip, Park MGM.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My wife and family.
