We had the good fortune of connecting with Onifade R. E. Colbert III and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Onifade R. E., what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
Always keep moving when things get harder. You always find a way through it. Be patient with the process.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My baked goods are organic, no fillers, no artificial junk, full of love 💕 and I’ve been doing this since I was 6 yrs old. Now I’m 15. I’m soon to open my own brick and mortar Bakery. I’ve been in buisness 9 yrs and doing this mobile. So I’m so excited. Come my 10 yr anniversary and turning 16 this year I’ll be open.So excited!!!!
Grinding hard, trial and error, and learning as I go has been how I’ve succeeded this far.
It’s been an amazing challenge. I have invested in professional groups to teach me how to streamline my buisness practices.
I’ve learned along the way to never get stuck, stay fluid.
My brand and company will be a generational accomplishment for my kids, grands and greats to always have to pass down and set a new line of greatness for them to uphold and be a part of. They never will need to worry about what’s not taking care of

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
No doubt we have to hit up the gathering place. It’s the nation’s largest nature amusement park. I would take them to Jinya for ramen bowls. Best in town
Take them down to black wallstreet to visit the sites.
Spend time at the bakery
Take them to see my mural on the side T-Mobile building I’m in.
Take them to Lacy Park where my mom cooks
Take them to Mother Roads Market where I spent many of days perfecting my craft and buisness practices
The underground tunnels

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother. She never let me quite. Lol Always tells me never let anyone get under your skin. Like when someone may say no or don’t like your cookies or brand when I was grinding to build my brand. She travels this journey with me with all the support I need and more right by my side.
