We had the good fortune of connecting with Analisa Reynoso and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Analisa, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Ever since I was a little kid I wanted to spend my time entertaining people. I loved seeing people laugh and smile at the things I was doing. I was always the class clown that would get straight A’s on her report cards, but under the behavior section the teacher would write “Great student, but she talks a lot in class”. The feeling I get when someone loves a video I made on TikTok or laughs at a joke I tell on stage, it’s like a drug. I’ve been chasing that high ever since I could remember. Frankly, I don’t think I was made to do anything else. There is absolutely no shade in pursuing any other type of career, for those that want that go do that, go chase those goals and achieve them. But for me personally? I can’t see myself doing anything else. Content creation, and entertaining people is my passion, and I’m so excited to see where this path takes me next.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others in the influencer space is I don’t just stick to one thing. Granted, that might be the reason that I’m not as large as some other creators as of right now. The current algorithms really favor repetition regardless of the quality that is put forth in the process. So when you go to my Instagram or TikTok, you’ll see videos of me painting, singing, playing instruments, telling jokes, going on adventures, or just nerding out over things I’m passionate about. Some of my colleagues will ask, “Well if you do that, what is your brand?” To that I say, my brand is me.

That being said, being so open and honest on the internet is not easy. You open yourself up to being critiqued and criticized by everyone. Have any insecurities? Well buckle up, because people will take the biggest highlighter they have and point them out to you in the thousands. You also get burnt out very easily. The lack of structure when pursuing a career like this means your hours are inconsistent, sometimes you’ll be up at 4am editing a video or recording a cover for your next big project. It’s really important to remind yourself that you’re human, you have your limits, and to treat this very creative endeavor like a 9 to 5, that way you can..oh I don’t know get a good sleep schedule. (Apparently that’s important lol) In regards to the hate comments that get thrown my way, it sounds odd but I have to analyze each comment for what it is. Pointless hate. No face behind the profile, someone who wishes they had the courage to put themselves out there, lashing out to make themselves feel better.

What I want people to get out of my brand and story, is that if you have a goal or a dream, regardless of the size of it, you can chase it and you can achieve it. Go do it. Literally just start, you won’t achieve it unless you start. If people give you crap for it, it’s because they’re too afraid to achieve theirs. I also want my content online to be a reminder to people to not take life so seriously. My page is a nice little break and refresher from the crap that life can throw at us all the time.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
OOH I LOVE THIS QUESTION SO MUCH. To start off with restaurants, there are too many to name, but some places I love going to: Corvette Diner, Liberty Public Market, Cafe Coyote, El Indio & Hodad’s. My favorite places that are must do’s for anyone visiting San Diego for the first time is the San Diego Zoo, hands down we have the best Zoo in the world. When I was in my last year of college, I would drive to the zoo and take therapeutic walks through the jungle to combat the stress that was finals week. That place is my happy place. Other great places include the San Diego Model Railroad Museum, not to sound like a complete goober but I LOVE TRAINS. That museum is underrated and deserves as much love as some of the bigger museums in Balboa Park. If it’s summer time, the Del Mar Fair is the place to be! It’s my favorite time of year for San Diego! And I would always say to go see a show at the National Comedy Theatre, they do improv shows Thursday-Sunday. It’s the longest running show in San Diego, and the best place to get a laugh.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The success ive had so far would not have been possible if it werent for the folks in my inner circle. I am certainly still in the beginning phase of my career. I’m only 23, and this new year is the first time I’m committing fully to chasing my dream, now that I’ve graduated from college. (Go Tritons!) The success I’ve had so far would not have been possible if it weren’t for the folks in my inner circle. My mentor & very good friend James Monroe Iglehart, took me under his wing when I was 16 and taught me everything I know about the entertainment industry and what it takes to really make it in this field. He’s also introduced me to some remarkable people and some amazing experiences that have changed my life. I honestly don’t know where I’d be if it weren’t for him being in my corner. He is the absolute best. My family has always encouraged me to pursue my goals and I will always thank them for their endless support. The people at the National Comedy Theatre San Diego are some of the greatest entertainers I know. The comedians in that theatre are some of the most remarkable, and they’ve taught me so much about life, comedy, and how to really master my craft. Each one of them has a different perspective and approach to comedy, which I’ve applied to my videos I make online, and it’s helped me immensely. So if you’re reading this, go see a show at NCT. They’re great.
