Meet Xavier Craig | Artist & influence

We had the good fortune of connecting with Xavier Craig and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Xavier, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk are more necessary than playing things safe I think because then how would you know if you’re greater or not? In my life specifically, a big risk I took to push me to go over the top with my music as an artist, was getting face tattoos. I knew it would hinder me from work, but also knew I can breakthrough with or without them. It was more a therapeutic moment too. I’d say that’s letting your nuts hang and going for your dreams.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m making my own sound in music. A sound that defers who I am if someone hasn’t heard of me which I notice sticks. I’m mostly proud of my harmonizing and wordplay because when I first started thinking of being an artist I can and will admit I was garbage. I’m really excited for this 12 song project I’m working on it’s taking so long because of life and being an artist tend to be picky. All in all, I fully feel with the right promotion, with my own footwork and network, could potentially be the breakthrough I’ve been working towards. I am a professional at what I do and my peers and are too and can agree that they see I’m coming up, but don’t get me twisted, I’m no where near where I desire to be and I’ve accomplished a gang of accolades and pinnacles. It’s never easy. Never has and never will. That mindset gets me through my writers block a lot cuz I know I’m great there’s times of our lives where we get stunted I admit. All I want the world to know about my story is me. To know me. Because my own mother doesn’t know me. But I can and will express my feeling openly and vulnerably. I’m emotionally literate. I’ve been through the mud. I can relate and reciprocate. Should’ve been a child psychologist 😂 Which is why I’m introverted most the time. By the way my artist Name is Xzavier Tre, but my full real name is Xavier Tre Craig. I’m blessed to have a real name that just so happens to sound fire. I really appreciate and Thank you for your time

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well I live in Wine country California so whoever comes out it depends. If it’s a woman, then the wineries out here when she lands im driving her there and everywhere the whole time. San Diego is next cuz it’s closer than Los Angeles then all of Los Angeles. There’s really no specifics I’m spontaneous so it’s always great times with me ideas and places to go. But there is one place in particular, in LA, and it’s a 120 dollars a person but all you can eat shrimp, lobster, crab cakes, crab legs, sausage, etc. other than that Six flags is alright, Disneyland. Is watered down and the beach is the new gym

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I give myself the most credit because In my 28 years of life I haven’t met a person who gives credit where it’s due like me. I’d also like to shout out my mentor who is a worldwide graffiti artist and gave me more skills to make more money and be more aggressive in my passion. And lastly but not least my mother. I’ve put her through hell and when the breakthrough coming comes I’ll be able to do what I’ve been working for my whole life. To spoil her.
