Meet Megan Heneghan | Content Creator & Influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Heneghan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Megan, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I believe my authenticity and passion for my niche are the most important factors behind the success of my brand. I stay true to who I am and my message and I believe that shows very transparently in my content. When I get excited about something, it shows. Even though it may not make sense to some people, I continue to do what makes me happy, and what drives me the most everyday.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am most proud of my creativity and unique ability to quickly come up with new ideas for my work. I also show my energy and excitement through my work…because I am genuinely excited to do it! It is not always easy to find the motivation to constantly create, but through time and patience (and self-forgiveness when I need a break), I can get back to creating and brainstorming pretty quickly.
Some of the lessons I learned are that you really just have to do YOU. If you start caring too much about what others (or brands) may think, that can hinder the creativity process. Stay true to yourself and your passions, and it will help you achieve things you never thought possible.
I would love for people to know that you do not have to go work alone! Lean on people, learn from people…growth in your career takes so much more than hard work. And there will be great people there to help you through the ups and downs, so no need to work completely alone!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My absolutely favorite spots in the area are: Disneyland, Laguna Beach and Old Town Tustin. I would take them Disneyland one of the days and show them all of the fun rides, good snacks and fun activities to do in both Disneyland and California Adventure Park. Then, we would do brunch at Las Brisas in Laguna Beach, and head to Three Arch Bay (my favorite beach) for the afternoon. For dinner, we would go to one of my favorite sushi spots, Sushi Damu in Tustin. The next day we would do a hike on the Peters Canyone Trail. And Old Town Tustin has some of the best restaurants, so we would go to The Winery restaurant for early dinner the next day, or possibly FreeSoulCafe for some great vegan food.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to dedicate my shoutout to the people who have believed in me and my content since the beginning, including Jackie, Brittany, and William. I would also like to thank the Walts Apartment Podcast for giving me the space to speak freely and share my thoughts with no judgment!
