How to know whether to keep going or to give up?

How do you know when you should keep going versus when it makes sense to cut your losses and try something new? It’s a difficult decision most entrepreneurs and creatives have faced along their journey and so we asked some brilliant folks from the community to share their thoughts.
This is a great question I know we've all asked ourselves in the past 2 and a half years! I approached this question in many facets of my life by asking the following questions: Even if it's hard, does it bring me joy?
Does it give me opportunities to balance with other aspects of my life (personal, work, life goals, relationships)? Am I actually good at it/have positive results from it? Quite frankly, it's pretty hard for me to give up. But, I think knowing when to refocus your efforts is a huge gift you can give yourself and the people in your life. Read more>>
I learned about perseverance early on, so I rarely give up. I’d like to think I’m willing to pivot when circumstances charge or new information surfaces, but if I believe in something it’s not my nature to abandon a cause or project. When I was making my first movie in my early 20’s, I remember wanting only one song — John Mellencamp’s PINK HOUSES for the opening credits. I feel like there really isn’t a way of knowing . I think that remaining focused is key, as well as staying busy. That is what keeps me going. Many times I’ve had self doubts or have lost interest, due to certain reasons .I usually pray on it , and do my best to move forward towards my journey .
