Meet Raven Keiara | Actress

We had the good fortune of connecting with Raven Keiara and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Raven, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Taking risks is tricky because you never know what the outcome will be. I know in the entertainment industry taking risks is either a hit or a miss. I currently attend a conservatory school for the arts called Amazing Grace Conservatory and it really focuses on theatre. Now I wouldn’t say that my dream is to do theatre production I am more into film production but I took a chance on it and ended up really liking it. The program exposes me to singing, acting, and dancing so I am knowledgeable in all fields. At the end of the day, I’m still perfecting my craft as an actress whether it’s on stage or on camera. Another risk I am taking is attending Los Angeles Southwest College and getting college credits for technical theatre.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Right now, I am just honing my craft as much as possible by being trained at Wendy Raquel’s Amazing Grace Conservatory. I am most excited about a Christmas film I wrapped in March and slated to come out In November. It was an honor to work with NAACP award-nominated director Reggie Gaskins. The Film also stars Stephanie Charles who is on Tyler Perry’s Ruthless. Another One of my favorite gigs thus far has been working as a line producer for Tavis Smileys KBLA 1580.


Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite things to do with friends are going to the beach and theme parks. I love Knott’s Berry Farms and obviously Disney Land. Venice Beach is also one of my favorite places, there is amazing food and entertainment all around. Honestly just driving to downtown Los Angeles is an experience in itself just to see the lights. And probably my biggest secret for entertainment is the mall. I love shopping and my favorite mall is Del Amo.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to give my family a shoutout for supporting me throughout this journey but most of all I would like to spotlight my mom for just being my rock. She has helped me with so much and I definitely would not be anywhere close to where I am now without her help.
