We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabriela Chavez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gabriela, what are you inspired by?
Many things! I couldn’t pick a topic between architecture, interior design, photography, fashion, dance and traveling. There was a time when that was actually a problem, my interests were so different that I felt like I had to choose one path, but something felt odd about focusing in just one.
I’ve learned that instead of denying those parts of me I channel them into my work, I believe that what distinguish every creative it’s the baggage that’s shaped us.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I feel so lucky that we could help people to enjoy their homes by designing their spaces

We keep it real and simple, playing with shapes, looking for new materials, making the clients part of every stage of their designs and always sharing the process, that’s something that has helped us to grow a lot.

Architecture isn’t an easy path, our work depends of many factors that cannot be completely under our control, but it is all about trust and finding the right team

My biggest lesson as an entrepreneur has been the pursue for balance. I’ve learned it the hard way, Passion is the best gasoline but also could be consuming.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Guadalajara is a great city to visit, I think one of the best things is the large offer of restaurants and their gastronomy quality. The perfect weekend would be having breakfast in Palreal and their amazing lonche de pancita, don’t forget to try their award winning coffee “estelar”, then going to the MAZ museum to see their current exhibition and then go walking to salón Candela for a dance and a couple of drinks.
On Sunday we would be running or roller skating around the via recreativa and stepping to breakfast in Yunaites, then going to a gallery or some event at the Americana, eating a black aguachile in mil caguamas and finally going for a drink at gallo altanero.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have a small circle full of wonderful persons, couldn’t be more grateful for having them on my life. My team which makes every one of our designs a reality: Fer, Santiago, Manu and Julio
My family who is the best support and my husband Guillermo who is my biggest champion and mentor
