Meet Darren Ru van Rensburg | Marketing Manager

We had the good fortune of connecting with Darren Ru van Rensburg and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Darren Ru, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I already have a full time job as a marketing manager for a through the line marketing agency called Mahuma Group (Pty)Ltd so I wanted to create more than one income stream when I started 015 To The Nation (@015ToTheNation on all social media platforms) but also something that could be generational in terms of the sustaining the business itself and creating employment for the people of Limpopo. Media is what I love, so it wasn’t too much of a hard decision when I had to choose which industry to go into.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
– I am an actor, presenter, content creator and marketing head. – What sets me apart from everyone else is I am aware an artist’s job is to create so I will never be jobless as I continuously find new ways of creating opportunities for myself.
– I am most proud of the channel I created called 015 To The Nation and the leading show called Live Masterclass (On Instagram) where we’ve interviewed Artists, Entrepreneurs, Athletes and Politicians all hailing from the wonderful province of Limpopo and the endless possibilities the channel has. We currently on a break but will kick off everything on YouTube from the 6th of August 2022. Everyone please go and subscribe to the channel as we continue taking the Limpopo Province in South Africa to newer heights.
– I believe in hard work and creating your own opportunities but unfortunately things get super busy at times having a 9-5 and still chasing after your dreams but we continue fighting to give South Africans proper, quality content and as usual. Time management is one of the most important key factors and so is hard work but fatigue could possibly get to you. You just need to be strong and continue moving.
– I have learned that not everybody wants the best for you and the most important part is that you put yourself and your work first. The world is waiting for you but you cant get there with doubts. be firm and strong in your belief of yourself and always put in the work. It will all make sense at a later stage.
– 015 To The Nation was inspired by my late mother Cynthia van Rensburg and will continue shining in her name because of the amount faith she had in the company as we’ve had International Jerusalem hitmaker Master KG, Miss South Africa Shudu Musida and Amapiano Artist and all round music producer Musa Keys.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The first place I would take them to is the resturant in Polokwane called Cofi. The only resturant in Polokwane that is consistent in bringing a great vibe, great people and great food in Polokwane. We would then go down into the Limpopo Province and show my friend the real Limpopo which would include going on safari and making them see the BIG 5 in the Limpopo Province. We would then go to Westenburg and Seshego so that they can see what a true vibe is with a totally different cultural way of doing this.
