Meet Sarai Joli | Renaissance Woman

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarai Joli and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sarai, what do you want people to remember about you?
For my legacy to be that I was a Renaissance woman !!
The legacy I want to leave behind is something money can’t buy which is to inspire others to always love themselves despite what the internet, or society might be saying. To not be afraid to create or be afraid to be an artist due to we are all some type of artist/creator !!
Many know me as a photographer , but I feel like I am limitless. I can never fully box myself in as one thing because I’m always seeking to grow and try/create new things.
Without a doubt I want to be able to hand down assets like a beautiful home with a lake/ garden for fresh vegetables/fruits & grains so that my family can always have somewhere to call home !!
To have money to hand down to my family would be beautiful too but leaving skills / memories of my art or character is more important…
To push peace & balance.
To leave a small environmental footprint.
To be down to earth /grounded but a free spirit.
To be loyal & create laughter.
To be forever true to every part of me.
To be remembered as a creative, an artist, a healer , as love & light .
To be walking sunshine…

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Many know me as a photographer for that’s what I’ve been hired 100’s of times to do for others….
some know me as a graphic design / web designer/ videographer.
Few will say a model, poet, artist, etc.
I’m an artist who creates for others but also creates for herself !!
When I first started being a photographer professionally ( getting booked by customers) back when I was 20 I had no confidence at all.
I’m still learning to be 100% comfortable with letting myself shine fully, but I’m proud of my growth !!
Today I often get compliments on my eye for capturing the moment or for my confidence that comes from my vulnerability through me being a muse or my poetry….
My favorite muse is myself for I have complete freedom to transform whereas with others I have to make them comfortable….
I’ve recently separated myself as a muse and my brand .
There’s “Sarai Joli “ & there’s “ Bevrai “.
Sarai Joli is a writer, muse, self love/body positive activist, healer and so much more…
Bevrai is my brand but a movement. It is a space where I share others / collaborate on different forms of art with others. Bevrai is limitless , it is true . The goal for Bevrai is to be a creative studio & place to heal/ elevate your mind/body/soul.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
San Diego is such a beautiful city & Theres so many beautiful gems ….
If my best friend were to come into town I would make sure I take them a few “tourist spots” but I would focus on some of my favorite hidden gems.
I have so many favorite places & love to go with the flow .
Instead of creating a strict itinerary I’ll make a list of some of my top favorite spots.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people, places and things that have been , currently are or will be in my life that has helped me get to where I am today.
My family/ancestors for they are the reason I’m breathing today .
My lost loved ones ( the one’s who have passed away or the one’s still here but we’ve had to part ways due to character traits ).
Those who doubted me when I was a child/teenager for they pushed me to break every stereotype they tried to label me as due to I was often misunderstood .
To all the strangers that I had vulnerable convos with on the streets for a few minutes and never saw them again….
