Meet Sada Volkoff | Green Pear Organics Co-owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sada Volkoff and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sada, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
2020 taught us all many new lessons! Perhaps the most important is to pivot. Always be ready to move, adjust and adapt to the circumstances out of our control.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Green Pear Organics has a two-pronged drive. We are dedicated to improving the environment and our personal health. People come to natural alternatives for different reasons and we uniquely…embrace them all! We are as passionate about replacing single-use plastic as we are about eliminating toxins and chemicals from our everyday cleaning products! We want to help our customers embrace a green and clean life in the easiest way possible.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We are so fortunate to have the weather that we have in Southern California. We would recommend getting outdoors and taking advantage of one of the many hiking/walking trails that we have. Afterwards, why not enjoy one of the many little organic juice and smoothie bars that need our support and have fantastic offerings like Urban Remedy in Solano Beach. And did somebody say beach?! Our beaches are amazing and every local has their favorite to share from Scotchmans Cove to La Jolla Cove and beyond. Mitch’s Surf Shop in La Jolla or Solano Beach is a local must-go to get some new gear. Visit Marys Gourmet Salads or Ocean Cafe in Pacific Beach. Wrap up the day with a visit to Bird Rock Coffee Roasters in Pacific Beach or Local Krave in Midway for a butter coffee….there’s so much to see and do!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our repeat customers are our everything! Instead of shopping Amazon or other large multinationals, they come back to us…the little, local, woman-owned micro eco-store. These customers along with those who seek us out online and shop with us instead of the “big guys” have been our lifeline especially this last year!
