We had the good fortune of connecting with Steven Webb and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Steven, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My father, Mike Webb is a Plumber in West LA, Webb’s Plumbing. He used to take me out to help him with plumbing jobs as early as 13 years of age. I started to learn the trade very early in life.
I moved to San Diego and started working with TLC Plumbing, I learned so much with this business. From there I moved to Core Plumbing, another wonderful company that taught me so much. After many years of working for my father and other plumbing companies I decided to take my plumbing contractor’s test since my wife kept on encouraging me to go on my own. It was always a dream of mine to have my own business but I needed that extra push. Since I was working 9-10 hour days at times. I knew I would bring something special to my customers and the business with so many years of plumbing experience. Plus I love plumbing.

What should our readers know about your business?
I know there is thousands of plumbing companies in San Diego. I’ve learned a lot of things working with other companies in the same field. One of the main thigs I have learned has been invest in my business. It makes my job easier if I invest in better equipment and giving my customers the best outcome to solve their plumbing issues. I think what sets me aside from many plumbers I meet is that I started helping my father since I was 13 years of age. So I guess you could say I have many years of plumbing experience. My father also has taught me to be fair to all my customers. He still has client from the 80’s at Webb’s Plumbing in LA. I want to have the same beliefs and structure my father has with running his business. The only difference is I have an i phone and he has a flip phone. No idea how he could run his business using a flip phone but he does.
I love learning new things. Right now I am learning about Kohler smart toilets. On top of that I am also learning about social media, my wife makes me take videos while working. That is something I am not used to but it does get my customers.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love San Diego! I have many special spots. I love walking around Balboa Park, and eating fish tacos at Ortegas Mexican Restaurant on University. If you want to go for a nice scenic hike I would recommend Torrey Pines.
My wife and I also love Old Town, and we frequent Cafe Coyote. They have homemade tortillas and open at 8AM on the weekends for breakfast. After we walk around the park and look at the historical buildings and of coarse I am always wondering how the plumbing is within the older buildings.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The biggest shoutout would have to go to my father, Mike Webb. He has not only taught me how to run a business, but to be fair to all my customers, and work hard in life. My father is a Vietnam Veteran who has gone through a lot in life, the hardest working man I have ever met. Till this day, at age 73 he is still running his plumbing business in LA and always willing to help anyone out if needed. My second shoutout would go to my brother Kevin Webb, for being the best brother, husband, and amazing father. He was my best friend. My brother Kevin Webb passed, June 2025 in a motor cycle accident. Kevin was another one of my biggest fans that pushed me to get my plumbing license. Another shoutout would have to go to my wife, Cynthia Hernandez. She helps me run All Care Plumbing San Diego. She also pushed me to get my license, helped me find the school Golden State Contractors School. We needed to save money and moved to Rosarito, Mexico to save on rent. While leaving in Mexico I would cross the border to work, and go to school. She also worked and also crossed the border, Monday to Friday. We had to save up for the business. I would not be were I am at without her. She pushes me everyday to be a better person.
Shoutout to my best friend, and employee Scott De Mars. He is a very hard worker, and amazing father. He teaches me to never give up. I appreciate him and I love how my customers always rave about how professional he is. Another shoutout goes to my other best friend Kevin Howerton, who recently moved to Texas with his wife Karen. He is a fighter, getting his C36 license in Texas. Kevin is the one that helped me get my first plumbing job in San Diego with TLC Plumbing. I could go on and on and give thanks to many people that have helped me along the way. I have to say I am very blessed to have an amazing family, friends, and customers. I would not be were I am today with the help of everyone.
