Meet Ryen Toft

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ryen Toft and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ryen, how does your business help the community?
At Simply Luxe Organizing, we believe that success is most meaningful when it creates a positive impact beyond the business itself. That’s why we’ve committed to donating 2% of our profits each year to organizations that support causes close to our hearts: women, children, and animals.
Through our charitable giving, we’ve supported organizations including Animal Pad, The Barking Lot, Lifesharing, United Way, Funded Youth, and SITE SoCal. These partnerships allow us to contribute to animal rescue efforts, youth development programs, community initiatives, and opportunities that help individuals and families thrive.
Our work also creates impact through sustainability. As professional organizers serving San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles, we help clients thoughtfully declutter their homes and donate thousands of items to local charities rather than sending them to landfills. Every project is an opportunity to give belongings a second life while helping clients create more functional, peaceful spaces.
At its core, Simply Luxe is about more than organization. We help people reduce stress, simplify their lives, and create homes that support their goals and well-being. By combining thoughtful service, community involvement, and charitable giving, we’re proud to make a difference both inside our clients’ homes and throughout the communities we serve.

What should our readers know about your business?
Simply Luxe Organizing was built from a simple belief: people deserve homes that support their lives, not stress them out. What started as a passion for organization and design has grown into a multi-million-dollar company serving clients throughout San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles.
From the beginning, I saw an opportunity to elevate the professional organizing industry. Many companies focused solely on decluttering, while others focused only on aesthetics. I wanted to create a luxury organizing company that combined thoughtful design, efficient systems, move management, unpacking services, downsizing support, and personalized solutions tailored to each client’s lifestyle.
Building a business has certainly not been easy. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve faced economic uncertainty, staffing challenges, operational growing pains, and the constant need to adapt. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that systems create freedom. By investing in processes, training, technology, and an incredible team, we’ve been able to grow while maintaining the high level of service our clients expect.
Today, I’m most proud of the impact we’ve had on the lives of our clients. We help busy professionals, families, retirees, and individuals navigating major life transitions create spaces that reduce stress and bring a sense of calm and clarity. Beyond our client work, Simply Luxe donates 2% of profits annually to organizations supporting women, children, and animals because we believe success should be measured by impact as much as revenue.
What I want people to know about Simply Luxe is that we’re about much more than organizing. Our mission is to help people live better through intentional spaces, thoughtful systems, and a lifestyle we call Luxe Living – where simplicity, beauty, and purpose come together. After more than 20 years in the industry, that mission continues to inspire me every day.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting Los Angeles for a week, I’d want to show them the side of the city that feels creative, inspiring, and uniquely Southern California. We’d start with a smoothie from Erewhon, partly because it’s become such an LA icon and partly because, as a professional organizer, I can’t help but admire how perfectly merchandised and organized everything is.
From there, we’d explore neighborhoods rather than just tourist attractions. I’d spend time walking around Venice, Manhattan Beach, and Malibu, grabbing coffee, browsing local shops, and enjoying the ocean views. For tacos, I’d send them to the legendary Tacos 1986, and for pizza, one of my favorite spots is Pizzeria Sei, which has developed an incredible following for its Tokyo-inspired pizza.
We’d visit The Getty Center for the architecture, gardens, and views, spend an afternoon at The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens, and catch sunset in Malibu. I’d also make time for Griffith Observatory because it offers one of the best views of the city.
What I love most about Los Angeles is that there is something for everyone. You can experience world-class food, incredible beaches, art, design, wellness, entertainment, and nature all within the same day. As someone who loves beautiful spaces, thoughtful design, and unique experiences, I find LA endlessly inspiring.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of so many people along the way. First and foremost, I’d like to thank my family for encouraging me to pursue entrepreneurship and for believing in me through the ups and downs of building a business.
I’d also like to recognize my incredible team at Simply Luxe. While my name may be attached to the company, our success is the result of dedicated organizers, administrators, partners, and clients who trust us every day. Building a business is never a solo endeavor.
I’d also like to give a special shoutout to the mentors, authors, and business leaders who have inspired me throughout my journey. Women like Oprah Winfrey, Sara Blakely, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Julia Child have shown me the power of resilience, curiosity, authenticity, and creating a life on your own terms.
Finally, I’d like to recognize the nonprofit organizations we support through Simply Luxe. Giving back to causes that support women, children, and animals reminds me that success isn’t just about what you build, it’s about the positive impact you leave behind. Those organizations inspire me every day to keep growing, serving, and giving back.
