Meet Stephanie Alburquerque – Solorio

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Alburquerque – Solorio and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Growing up, risks had a negative connotation in my life. They were something to be wary of and avoid at all costs. For example, I had family members who ran side businesses and pursued their passions cautiously, often keeping them as sources of extra income rather than turning them into full-time careers because of the potential risks involved. Watching this shaped my early perspective on risk-taking and taught me to value stability and security.
As I grew older and my hunger for success increased, I realized I had to shift my perspective. I now view risks the same way I view failure: as a necessary and crucial part of life, especially when starting a business. You have to be willing to take risks because if you stay in your comfort zone, you will never truly succeed. You will never discover your full potential if you remain confined to what feels “safe.”
Taking risks has allowed me to adjust my game plan and build my business based on both the successes and failures that came from those experiences. In the end, those risks have helped my business grow and thrive.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

We offer a variety of packages tailored to fit different needs and budgets because we understand that no two weddings—or clients—are the same. Personalization is at the heart of what we do.
With over 10 years of experience in the industry, we specialize primarily in weddings, but also provide coordination for bridal showers, proposals, luxury picnics, birthday celebrations, and other intimate or large-scale events.
What a Wedding Coordinator Does
A wedding coordinator plays a crucial role in bringing all the carefully planned details of your event together and ensuring everything runs smoothly on the actual day. While couples often handle the planning or work with a designer/planner in advance, the coordinator is the one who executes the plan and manages everything behind the scenes so you don’t have to.
This includes creating and managing the wedding day timeline, confirming vendor arrivals and setup, and serving as the main point of contact so you aren’t bombarded with questions or issues. Coordinators oversee the ceremony and reception flow, ensuring everything happens on time and transitions smoothly—from the ceremony procession to dinner service, speeches, and special moments.
We also handle any unexpected challenges that may arise, such as delays, missing items, weather changes, or vendor coordination issues, all while keeping the day running calmly and professionally. Our role is to problem-solve in real time so you and your guests never feel the stress behind the scenes.
On the day of your wedding, we are there to set up personal details, manage décor placement according to your vision, cue important moments, assist your wedding party, and ensure every element aligns perfectly with your plan. Ultimately, our job is to protect your time, your energy, and your experience—so you can focus on celebrating your love story.
At Blooming Villa Coordination LLC, we don’t just coordinate events—we create peace of mind, structure, and flow so your celebration feels effortless and unforgettable.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Throughout my career, there have been countless family members and friends who have helped me shoulder the burden of starting my wedding coordination business. Whether it was providing physical labor, helping me care for my beautiful baby girl, or simply offering a shoulder to cry on, I am truly grateful for each and every one of you.
However, my shoutout this year is a little more heartfelt and a little more personal. I think as business owners, we often pour so much of ourselves into our work that we overextend ourselves to the maximum capacity. In doing so, we rarely give ourselves the love, grace, and appreciation we truly deserve. With the utmost humility, I want to dedicate this shoutout to little me.
Little me wanted to be a doctor for the longest time. I had dreams of making my parents proud and building a name for myself. I like to think I am doing just that. Although I do not have a Ph.D to my name, I am a proud first gen latina business owner. I am proud of myself for the sheer will and resilience I have poured into this journey over the past years—the love I have learned to give myself and the appreciation I now make sure to practice daily. I am far from perfect, but each day I strive to be a better version of myself for me, my family, my friends, and my clients. At the end of the day, humility and love toward one another are what matter most.
So this shoutout goes to myself. And if you’re a business owner reading this, I encourage you to give yourself the credit you wholeheartedly deserve and to appreciate all the wins—no matter how big or small—because they add up, and they matter.
