Meet Lilli, Savannah Fish, Duren | Co-Founders and Interior Designers

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lilli, Savannah Fish, Duren and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lilli, Savannah, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
We pursued a creative career because we’ve always been drawn to the process of making spaces beautiful, functional, and personal. Interior design allows us to combine creativity with problem-solving while working directly with clients who trust us to bring their homes to life. Every project is different, every client has a unique story, and we love collaborating to create something that feels truly their own. Seeing clients walk into their finished space and feel at home is what makes this work so rewarding for us! There’s nothing more exciting than standing inside a space that once only existed in your imagination.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
LS Design Studio started during the pandemic, which was a huge challenge in itself. That said, with people spending more time at home, they were noticing things they wanted to change, and we were ready to help bring those ideas to life. We launched our business and, literally within minutes, had our first client inquiry.
We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come and how our work continues to evolve. One of the things that sets us apart is our ability to design in any style while still bringing our signature LS Design Studio touch to every space. Whether it’s a traditional home, a Spanish-style remodel, or a modern new build from the ground up, our goal has always been to create spaces that feel authentic to our clients and are designed for real life.
It hasn’t always been easy, but the challenges have taught us so much. Design and construction are ever-changing fields, and there’s a new learning opportunity every week. We’ve learned to stay curious, adapt quickly, and never stop learning. One of the biggest lessons we’ve taken away is that it’s always worth trying something, even when it feels scary, because it might turn out even better than you imagined.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We spend a lot of time in North County, so we’d probably start with spending a day there! Breakfast and coffee at Lofty Coffee to kick off the morning, followed by a long walk along the rail trail, stopping to shop at Salt Culture and BlackBook Bikini- two of our favorite local spots. Then we’d squeeze in a Lagree class at Move Madly before heading to The Taco Stand for burritos at lunch. In the afternoon, we’d take a trip to the Encinitas dog park (because what’s a perfect day without dogs?) and finish with happy hour and dinner at Monarch in Del Mar. We’d spend the rest of the week hitting some of San Diego’s incredible consignment, thrift, and antique stores, and exploring beautifully designed bars and restaurants like Part Time Lover (an old record store turned swanky bar), Madison (modern Mediterranean), and The Lobby Bar at the Lafayette Hotel- which has unreal design!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We want to dedicate our shoutout to our incredible clients. Every project we take on is a true collaboration, and we’re so grateful for the people who trust us with their homes and take a chance on our vision. It’s their openness, excitement, and belief in our process that allow us to create spaces that feel both personal and inspired! Without their trust and willingness to dream alongside us, none of what we do would be possible.
