Robyn, thanks for joining us again. Just to level set a bit for folks who may have missed our last interview together, can you briefly introduce yourself?
Hey there. I am so excited to be interviewed again by this fantastic publication!
I’m not only a photographer but also a Mom to three and have been with my better half for 30+ beautiful and fun filled years! We travel as much as we can, boogie board when the ocean isn’t too cold and run just about every morning.
So, let’s chat photography! My niche is both high school and college seniors and families. I love where the high school and college seniors are in life and I love chatting with them about their next steps. Their excitement for life and what’s in store is infectious. I view getting to document this time in their lives as an honor and a privilege. I also feel it’s an honor when a family chooses me to document their joy. Each stage of a family’s life is fleeting and so worth documenting.
What’s important to me is that you document your moment in time right now. You won’t get it back and you’ll ALWAYS love having these images to look back on and “remember when”.
What sets me apart in the senior portrait industry is a combination of my bold, energetic, and emotive photography style, along with my esteemed affiliations. My work is all about capturing genuine emotion, movement, and personality—bringing each senior’s unique spirit to life. I also hold certifications as a Click Pro Elite, an Unraveled Academy Artist, and a Master of Senior Photography from NAPCP—credentials that reflect the recognition of my expertise by my peers. Earning these honors is something I take seriously, and I’m incredibly proud of the dedication and passion they represent.
Two highlights of my journey are the following: I have been a San Diego Ambassador for the National Association of Portrait and Child Photographers (NAPCP) for two years now and beginning my third. This association allows me to partner and learn with and from other local photographers. Secondly, I have been the senior portrait photographer for the local, all girls, catholic school for 10 years now. I have gotten to meet and become friends with so many amazing young women and their families from this affiliation.

Awesome, so we reached out because we wanted to hear all about what you have been up to since we last connected.
I’m beyond excited for this year! My online class, The Ultimate Starter Guide to Senior Photography, available on Udemy, has really taken off—I now have over 1,200 students enrolled! Seeing so many photographers benefit from it has been incredibly rewarding. I loved every part of creating this course, which is designed for both budding and seasoned photographers looking to add senior portraits to their portfolios.
On top of that, I’m diving into a brand-new venture as the photographer for an Equine Workshop—an innovative learning experience centered around working with horses. These workshops explore what horses can teach us about leadership, communication, self-discovery, and trust. I’ll be behind the lens, capturing every powerful moment, and I CANNOT WAIT! Having grown up riding horses, this feels like a full-circle moment for me. The program is led by my friend and colleague, Kathy Sebuck—a total dynamo—and I’m thrilled to be part of it.

What do you want people to remember about you and your brand? What are some of things that you feel are most important, unique, special, etc?
When people think of my brand, I want them to feel joy, warmth, and the undeniable sense of being truly seen. My goal is for every client to walk away from their session feeling loved, valued, and beautiful—inside and out. And when they see their final gallery, I want them to be moved to tears, overwhelmed by the beauty of their own story and connections.
At the heart of it all is Maya Angelou’s famous truth: “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” That sentiment drives everything I do.
