We had the good fortune of connecting with Caroline Elisabeth Pigott and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Caroline Elisabeth, how does your business help the community?
I own a business called Build Your Brilliance where I provide coaching and consulting services to introverts.

While my business isn’t a massive global operation, its impact runs deep. I help introverts build quiet confidence, trust their own decisions, and embrace their natural strengths rather than feeling pressured to be more extroverted to succeed. My work allows introverts to step into leadership roles, grow successful businesses, and advance in their careers, all while staying true to who they are.

The impact doesn’t stop with my clients. When introverts gain confidence, they create positive ripples in their workplaces, businesses, and communities. They become leaders who foster thoughtful, inclusive environments. They redefine success on their terms, proving that influence isn’t about being the loudest voice in the room but about showing up with clarity, intention, and authenticity. My work challenges the idea that success belongs only to the extroverted, making space for more diverse leadership and perspectives in the world.

At its core, my business is about helping introverts see their own brilliance, because when they do, they not only transform their own lives but also inspire change in the spaces around them.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Build Your Brilliance, is all about helping introverts step into quiet confidence and create success in their own way, without feeling like they have to be more extroverted to get ahead!

I work with introverts who want to grow their careers, build thriving businesses, and achieve their personal goals while staying true to themselves. Through my coaching, I help them trust their own decisions, embrace their strengths, and stop feeling like they need to be ‘louder’ to be seen and valued.

What sets me apart…great question! I don’t just help introverts get to their goals and navigate the external world. I help them transform the way they see themselves and I help them manage their energy levels. Many introverts lose energy “trying” to be more extroverted or find it difficult managing their energy levels if they don’t have the time to recharge (which is alone time!). So a big part of what I do with clients is work on assessing where their energy levels are depleted and where it flows in terms of the activities/invites they say yes or no to, the people they surround themselves with, and even the foods they eat!

Many introverts also assume their quieter nature is a disadvantage, but I show them how to use it as a strength. I help them shift from self-doubt to confidence, from hesitation to action, and from feeling overlooked to standing in their own power.

Getting to where I am today in my business hasn’t been easy. Like many introverts, I struggled with self-doubt and questioned whether people would take me seriously as a coach.

Marketing myself felt exhausting, and there were times I wondered if I was even reaching the right people. But what kept me going was my belief in the work I do and the transformations I’ve seen in my clients. I’ve learned that success doesn’t come from forcing yourself into someone else’s mould. It comes from fully embracing who you are and leading in a way that feels natural to you. That’s exactly what I help my clients do.

What I want the world to know about my brand and story is this: introverts don’t need to change who they are to be successful. They don’t need to be louder to be heard. The world needs thoughtful, intentional, deeply wise leaders just as much as it needs bold, outspoken ones. My mission is to help introverts see their own brilliance because once they do, they can achieve anything.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Fun question! I live just outside of Toronto (Canada’s largest city) in a town called Burlington which is a part of the GTA (Great Toronto Area). So we have many places to visit and see in terms of entertainment, food, culture, and more. Where I live are a variety of hiking trails. One place I’d take someone visiting is to Mount Nemo! It offers such a beautiful view of the landscape below and is the perfect spot for a picnic. Another place I’d take friends visiting is a winery tour in Niagara-on-the-lake. We’d hop on some bikes and tour around to the various wineries, sipping rose and enjoying the scenery. One of my favourite wineries is 13th Street! It has the best butter tarts and a beautiful art gallery that features local artists. Of course, we would also venture into Toronto for a visit to High Park, Toronto’s largest public park, a tour around Bloor West Village and a visit to Yorkville for some shopping and lunch!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I appreciate this opportunity to share about my business and to shoutout to who I can credit for my desire to start it! Years ago, I was coaching clients on marketing their businesses. Most of my clients, looking back, were introverts who wanted support developing their messaging and sharing it.

One client shared a book she was reading called Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking by Susan Cain. Once I picked that book up, I couldn’t put it down! It offered many points of validation for us introverts including this quote: “Don’t think of introversion as something that needs to be cured. The secret to life is to put yourself in the right lighting. For some, it’s a Broadway spotlight; for others, a lamplit desk. Use your natural powers — of persistence, concentration, and insight — to do work you love and work that matters.”

This book was a catalyst for shifting my business from “just” coaching female entrepreneurs at the time to a solid focus on coaching introverts in particular.
