Meet Marc & Michelle Landau | Marriage and Relationship Experts

We had the good fortune of connecting with Marc & Michelle Landau and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marc & Michelle, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
We started seeing so many couples struggling with the same issues we had worked hard to overcome. It became clear to us that families didn’t need to separate—that divorce wasn’t the only answer. Healing trauma and learning the skills to create a thriving marriage were the real solutions.
We saw friends and neighbors on the verge of divorce, and we knew that if they had the right tools, they could save their marriages and their kids wouldn’t have to grow up in two separate homes. But the program we believed in, the course that saved our own marriage, was halfway across the world. With COVID closing borders, we couldn’t bring the original creators to the U.S., so we decided we had to step up and bring this work here ourselves.
That decision came with its challenges. We were already running a business and raising kids, so adding another layer of responsibility was a stretch. We traveled across the globe to Perth, Australia eight times in the first year, funding it ourselves and sacrificing time with family. There were plenty of moments when the thought crept in: “Who are we to do this? We’re not perfect.”
But we realized that perfection wasn’t the point. Growth was. We embraced the fact that we’re a work in progress, and so is everyone else. This journey isn’t about becoming flawless—it’s about taking steps forward and helping others do the same.
We saw couples just one step behind us, struggling with the things we had overcome. That gave us confidence. We knew that if we could share even a little of what we’d learned—like how to laugh at things we used to fight about—it could bless another couple and maybe even change the trajectory of their family.
Ultimately, it was about giving ourselves permission to be human and grow while helping others do the same. That’s what inspired us to start this movement, and it’s the driving force behind everything we do.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We know a lot of people think they’ve tried everything—therapy, books, years of effort—and still feel stuck. That’s why what we do matters so much. We’ve seen how things can turn around in just three days. No endless sessions, no dragging it out for years. Real transformation happens fast when you have the right tools and the right environment.
Take Kevin and Deanna, for example. They showed up skeptical, carrying years of hurt. Deanna walked in unsure if she could really let go, and Kevin was wondering if it was even possible. But by the end of the weekend, they had what they needed. They let go of the pain, they found connection, and they didn’t just feel better—they didn’t need more work. They got what they came for- even after decades of therapy.
This is why we care so much. People think healing like this is impossible, but we’ve seen it. We’ve lived it. We know you can heal anything if you’re willing to step into it.
For us, it’s not just about the couples—it’s about the kids. We’ve seen how much our own discord affected our children, and it breaks our hearts to think about all the kids out there watching their parents fight, thinking that’s just how life is. They don’t realize they’re absorbing patterns, thinking it’s who they are, and carrying that into their own lives.
That’s why this work matters. Because people don’t have to live like this. Their kids don’t have to grow up in chaos. They don’t have to keep replaying the same cycles. You can change. Your partner can change. And in just three days, you can have a breakthrough that shifts everything.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When couples come to our event in San Diego, we always recommend they take time to explore this incredible city and reconnect while soaking in the beauty around them.
Start with a walk along the beaches at Del Mar or Carlsbad—there’s something about the ocean that makes everything feel lighter. For a romantic day, head to Coronado Island, where the charm of the island and the views are perfect for reconnecting. If you’re looking for even more stunning scenery, the view from Double Peak in San Marcos is unbeatable—you can see everything from Mexico to Catalina on a clear day.
For food, Little Italy is a must-visit. We love the energy there and recommend trying City Tacos in Encinitas or having a beautiful dinner at Amalfi at the Lakehouse Hotel in San Marcos. It’s perfect for a cozy evening by the water.
And, of course, you can’t miss La Jolla—it’s one of the most iconic spots in San Diego and always a favorite for couples looking to unwind and make memories.
These places don’t just show off San Diego’s beauty—they’re perfect for slowing down, reconnecting, and creating moments that last.
