Meet Joey Bergandi | Real Estate Broker and Owner.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Joey Bergandi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Joey, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was in Real Estate for 4 years and working for another Broker. I understood the in’s and out of running a Real Estate Business from being in it. My parents were in Business and I had an incredible support system with my Wife, my family, and my friends. I was blessed to have the knowledge and the backing so I start Velocity Realty. I knew that if I continued my success of helping my clients, the business would grow organically. The last part of the equation was myself. I knew that I would not quit, so I would not fail.

What should our readers know about your business?
At Velocity Realty ( San Diego, CA) and Desert Momentum, A Real Estate Collection ( Phoenix, AZ) we take pride in giving the raw answers and putting the clients’ needs first. We are hyper focused on Technology, and enabling our agents the freedom to build their own careers. Getting to this point as a business owner was not easy and we definitely had our growing pains. Most of the challenges come in the worst moments possible. The best advice I received regarding growing pains is that your dream is on the other side of that pain. From closing hard transactions, overcoming hiring/firing, running payroll for the first time, or even choosing an office space, there is always your dream on the other side of that pain. I would love the world to know that our Brokerages are just an extension of passion. This is not a money farm like the big box companies, we are a place where your goals and dreams are first.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I was to have my best friend visit San Diego, I would make sure they ate in Little Italy. Personal opinion, you can not have a bad meal in Little Italy. You have some spectacular views of the city, some incredible carbohydrates, and the best enviroment.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Shoutout goes to my Father, Frank Bergandi. This year, he passed away. He was in the Business World for 40+ Years and he was my sounding board, visionary partner, and most importantly, my dad. He was aligned with my vision and always gave me perfect advise and combined it with a similar story from his working years. Thank you Dad and I miss you!
