Meet Yaritza Rojas | Small business owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Yaritza Rojas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yaritza, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson my business has taught me has to be balance, I believe there’s times , were you will be able to do it all , but there will also be times you won’t be able to get to every single item on the list. There will be days you will come out short because you have to do business things one day and then another day you gotta do mom duties. You always have to have time to have self care even if it’s a walk and or something love doing I believe that’s something my small business has taught me.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m most proud of the fact that lunita artesanal is now available in 5 shops and one hair salon and that’s something that I never thought would happen in a million years, I never thought when I first started my small business that it would grow at this rate . Juggling both being a mom and also having a small business its absolutely not for the weak , it was very difficult and there was times I wanted to quit. I overcame alot of challenges such us juggling being a mom too my son who has behavioral issues and I constantly had to be with him and helping him with his therapy managing paperwork and also there hobbies. The biggest lesson I learned is there will be times you will come short whether it is from the business point of view and or being a mom , or wife there is no in between. My brand is very special because it got started from a small little studio in Mountainview with two little boys who needed there mom to be there during covid I had a small part time job and decide to quit and just work on my jewelry it was avery difficult time now looking back ,but thankfully it grew, and I was resilient and I worked really hard to achieve my goal.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would probably take them to different places my first stop would be the beach cause who doesn’t love the beach and maybe after go out to eat to the loft I love it there and after go down to chicano park to see all the beautiful and colorful murals and grab some more food down there .

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Alot of women owned business have help me out along the way
