Meet Kaden James | Life Strategist & Wellness Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaden James and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kaden, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When it came to becoming a coach, I really didn’t even know this was a profession when I discovered the self help section which is now often referred to as personal empowerment- I think dropping this to just empowerment section would be helpful, this truly not only work we do on ourselves but on the world. It may start within but it’s working on the challenges we have faced with others, the beliefs we have inherited and while it’s a journey we may often feel is solo, the authors and others who have come before collectively walk us down the path. It’s a journey that also affects everyone we come in contact with. When I was doing this work I just wanted to share everything that worked for me with my friends and followers online. I have always loved sharing and connecting on a deeper level so as I opened up there were others who joined in and encouraged me. Then, some of them wanted to work one on one. These amazing people who were brave enough to ask for help and willing to explore greater possibilities for themselves became my first clients. Now I have worked with thousands of people in group programs and one on one.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Have you mapped out your life or created a blueprint for success? Do you write down your goals, are you even specific about what they are and have action deadlines in place? For most people, the answer to this is no. Even self professed “planners” often haven’t done a life audit and really uncovered what would bring them the greatest joy and fulfillment in life. These are things we aren’t taught in school but when we learn about them- our lives change forever. It’s like seeing your life from above and knowing where you want to take it, how to avoid challenges and gain that bigger picture.
I am most proud of the fact that all of my clients lives improved from working with me, also I would say the lives of most people who are around me for a bit of time. However, some of those who helped me early on are owed so much for their generosity. I don’t forget them, I still keep in contact with many of them and will continue to pay it forward and share more with them in the future. I believe as we rise, we can to it together.
When it comes to challenges, I see them as opportunities to learn and evolve. I am thankful for the strength that comes from the resistance that I face but also know that I am not here to convince anyone of anything, I am not here to fight for others to believe that I am right. I am simply here to amplify love on this earth.
I have learned so many lessons along this journey. I could write a book on the lessons and it would be quite long. I think what’s more interesting right now are the lessons I am currently learning and what I am studying. I am really focused on the brain and more specifically optimizing it. The brain is the most important thing we own, yet so often we don’t appreciate it and care for it nearly enough. Without our mind we can’t let our soul pour through our bodies, we can’t do anything without our minds while in this earthly realm. So I have studied and been applying the best techniques in mind training, nutrition and fitness to improve my abilities and those of my clients.
Booking a session is the fastest way to learn what coaching can do for you and with my sessions you get real benefits from the first one.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have gone on so many amazing adventures in SD and would say all of these would be on the list… First my best friend and I would go to Better Buzz coffee to get caffeinated and I would lay out all of these suggestions and check the weather which of course would be sunny all week because it’s SD and we would do everything my friend desired.
Go to the San Diego Zoo one day and the Safari Park, they are a must! Safari park even has ziplines over the animals and the SD Zoo just got the beloved pandas back.
Get in a workout or two or 5 at Fit Athletic club. I love the East Village and Mission Beach locations. One overlooks the Padres Stadium which is really cool and the other has stunning vides of the beach and is mere steps from the ocean. You can jump right in to cool off after a good workout. Talk about relaxing and refreshing!
Kayak The La Jolla Sea Caves, This is a really fun experience and you get to see this area from such a unique and stunning vantage point.
Go to a Padres game, the stadium is so well designed with lots of outdoor and social spaces and locals here are always so warm and friendly.
I could go on and on about this city but I’ll end with a final one. Balboa Park, this park is like the west coast Central Park. It is INCREDIBLE, there is so much to do and see, from museums, to gardens, incredible architecture and delicious food. This park truly has it all.
San Diego for me is one of the most beautiful places on planet earth and I feel so fortunate to call it home.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many who got me to this place. When I think of those whose love provided for me and nurtured me throughout this life I am overwhelmed and flooded with gratitude. You see, I was adopted, became homeless as a teen and beautiful souls showed up for me. Many didn’t even know me very well but there were people who opened their homes, cooked for me, and believed in me when I didn’t even think very much of myself. Even being here today is a profound gift and if we think about it, we all come into this world helpless, we need others to care for us as we grow. That love is powerful and we can feel great love and admiration for those who kept us safe early on. For me the person I would shoutout was my grandmother, who was such a light on this earth and still is from the other side. I am so fortunate to have learned unconditional love because of her.
