Meet Dara Krovetz | fine art photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dara Krovetz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dara, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started my business Dara’s Bling Photography back in 2011 when I had a boutique called Jewelry and Baby Bling By Dara. My business started my journey into photography by photographing babies and children in the products I designed and sold. I taught myself photography by attending workshops in person and online.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Possibly the main thing to know about me is creativity runs in my bones. My mother was an artist, and I was. born on her birthday, and I definitely inherited her artistic creativity. I cannot look at anything without using my aesthetic eyes. This really helps me customize every session. As a fine art photographer, my goal is to create art for my clients that will be cherished for a lifetime and passed down for generations.  The experience at Dara’s Bling Photography is seamless and enjoyable. Every session is fully custom designed for my clients with their wants and needs while providing a one of a kind experience.  We pamper our mothers with  hair and makeup artistry and provide a collection of couture pregnancy gowns and accessories, outfits for women, dresses for girls of all ages and newborn outfits and  props.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The highlight of South Florida is the Hard Rock Hotel, a must see when visiting South Florida, a great venue for concerts.. Tropical Acres is an amazing steakhouse that has been around for generations. I love the Broward Center of Performing Arts as well as The Parker Playhouse for shows and concerts.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A shoutout to the Professional photographers of America where I loved going to their photography conventions and being a member and using their online resources, insurance and legal services.
