Meet Lisa Gates | CEO/Founder of Concierge 4 B2B a business concierge services organization

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa Gates and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lisa, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was hustling in corporate, but needed something more. For the past 30+ years, I’ve worked in corporate, and always had a business on the side. In 2019, I sold my fresh flower company, A Dancing Flower, to my good friend, Julie, who still runs that business today. But after 2019, I didn’t have my hands in any other business opportunities. Concierge 4 B2B (originally named East Valley Concierge) was founded in 2021 as a business concierge service helping other companies. I was finally able to leverage my God-given talents and help multiple companies instead of just one (working a corporate job). We quickly added over 60 clients that needed help hiring employees, running their payroll, and managing their people operations/human resources. In 2023, we rebranded the company (now called Concierge 4 B2B) with a fresh new logo that could represent our expanding and growing organization.

What should our readers know about your business?
During the summer, when I was 16 years old, my mom encouraged me to start working in an office, where she was employed. I loved it! My job consisted of filing, making training packets and learning how to answer the phones. I started typing letters and helping with other administrative tasks. I worked my way up to supporting CEOs in multi-million dollar companies. At two organizations, I was both the Executive Assistant and the Personal Assistant for the CEO directly or for the CEO’s spouse. I loved managing busy executives’ calendars, planning international trips, and even traveling to different countries organizing and managing booths at tradeshows. It was challenging, yet rewarding both personally and professionally. As an Executive Assistant, I had the honor of sitting in meetings, learning from various leaders about the financial status and operational functions of their companies. Business has always been fascinating to me! I love hearing about the strategies, goals, organizational mission, and pain points. I learned about lean manufacturing, process improvements and people operations from talented business leaders. In 2020, I finished my BA in Business Management with an emphasis in Leadership. This gave me the confidence to build a business that could positively impact other companies with a servant leadership mindset. Concierge 4 B2B focuses on the non-core functions, so business owners can focus on their core responsibilities of growing their business. Offering multiple services that vertically align with what our clients’ need, is what sets us apart. We are more than a recruiting firm. Yes we hire employees for our clients, but we also process payroll, manage human resources, and customize hiring packages with incentives for new hires. In early 2024, we added business internet, mobile phones, travel concierge, payroll software, merchant services and security cameras! This was a huge shift to globally position ourselves as the key leader within the Business Concierge Services industry.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love introducing friends to my favorite coffee places! I have three consistent favorites: Peixoto (downtown Chandler) Maple House (downtown Chandler), and Sozo Coffeehouse (uptown Chandler). Peixoto is a farm-to-cup concept with a quaint shop. Great space for people to relax. Maple House has a huge indoor/outdoor space with plenty of seating. I love their lavender honey latte! But they also have the most delicious grilled cheese sandwich. In the evening, you can grab happy hour at Maple House with their extensive list of wines and spirits. I really enjoy staying awhile at Sozo Coffeehouse’s and relaxing at one of their many comfortable couches with my favorite herbal teas or lattes. They have open mic nights and feature local bands. But enough about coffee! If we want to grab lunch, we love to suggest Cava for healthy bowls or wraps, Wildflower or Flower Child. Healthy food is typically on the menu. If we wanna splurge, we love DC Steakhouse, Otaku Sushi, or Cheesecake Factory. Something yummy on the menus for everyone. For entertainment, I enjoy As You Wish Pottery, Main Event, The Forum Lounge, shopping at Chandler Fashion Center or San Tan Village. Level 1 Arcade Bar is also fun!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
