Meet Freddie Floyd Jr | Award-Winning Author| Husband| Father

We had the good fortune of connecting with Freddie Floyd Jr and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Freddie, what makes you happy? Why?
Being free in my mind is what makes me happy.
Why because nothing can hold you back in life if your free within your mind. just understanding that you can do or be anything you want in life and no one can hold you back.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Well, Currently, I work as an Army Contractor in Iraq as a Logistician, and I love what I do for the most part, except being away from home. I am also an award-winning author, and I am so proud of this because, as a child, I couldn’t speak all that well, and I struggled in school with English. Who would have thought I would be writing a book? Now, God is so amazing. I have written and published three books to date, and two of the three became Amazon best sellers, which is insane to me, but I am very grateful for the impact that I am making in the lives of others.
I have learned along the way that it’s never too late to begin your dreams. The only thing that will stand in your way is you.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For starters, we would have a lot of catching up to do. At my young age, I am not really big on going out, but we will fire up the grill at my home, invite a few friends over, and have some drinks. We will have an old-fashioned cookout and just catch up.
We would then spend the next day in downtown Atlanta, visiting spots like the Aquarium and the Coke world.
And of course, we can’t forget our shared love for steak. That’s why we’ve reserved a table at Marcel, a charming little place in Atlanta, Georgia, known for its delectable steaks. It’s going to be a culinary experience we won’t soon forget.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have had a lot of support along my Journey in life. My parents, for one, and My Aunts, but the most impactful people I know, are and have always been my Big Brother Felix Floyd and His Wife, Johnelle Floyd. These people are unique, and they don’t even realize it. I have always been successful in my own right; however, when I moved in with them, they didn’t do anything special persay. It was just how they went about their daily life How they lived, and it just made me want more out of life than I had. So, I credit my brother and his wife on this day for starting my mental Journey to Success.
