Meet Kimberli Davino-Wilson | Community & Networking Leader for Women | Savannah Travel Guide

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kimberli Davino-Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kimberli, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
Investing in a mindset coach. I was never one who believed in myself or held even an ounce of confidence. And sometimes, I still do struggle with it.
But when you’re planning to build a business and be successful with it, you have got to get your mindset in check. You have got to build that confidence up and believe in YOU.
Otherwise, things just won’t work. You’ll start doing things you don’t truly want to, you’ll start second guessing yourself, you’ll start feeling burnt out really quick.
I was there when I first started. But working with a mindset coach really helped get me to where I am now in my business. It hands down was one of the best decisions I could have made to help with my success.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a Community and Networking Leader for Women. I have built a space for those in business who are feeling burnt out, tired of the noise on social media, don’t know which way to go, feel alone and just want a fun place to connect with others.
The Magic Makers Community means so much to me. It’s a place for these women to truly shine their light. I think so many of us get drowned out on social media & dim our lights, making it harder for people to find us and connect with us.
So I created the community as a space where we can come together with other like minded souls like ourselves to connect, collaborate, network, learn from others, support others, while also, really shining our own lights.
We have a directory for collaborations, trainings, events, resources – all the things to grow, evolve, learn – but in a way that feels good to us.
I am determined to change even just a sliver of the online space & help women find the excitement in their business again.
I also am a Savannah Travel Guide go to person! I haven’t come up with the right term yet, haha! But I have created a beautiful website guidebook for those visiting Savannah- my favorite city. I’ve been working on it since August with an amazing website designer and it’s been a secret! I’m just now releasing it so I am over the moon about it.
I’m just so proud of how far I have come and how I’ve been able to allow myself to evolve and grow and change my business as I go to things that align with me in each new season. I’m really excited to see where the community goes and also see all the amazing travelers enjoying my guidebook!
I think what sets me apart is, I’m me. I don’t need to put on a show for anyone. What you see is what you get here. And I want everyone to know I fought hard to get to where I am. Some days I still struggle, I’m human. But I always bounce back. I hope those who follow my story, feel inspired that they too can do the hard things and bounce back from the things that try and stop them.
It wasn’t easy getting to where I am. There were lots of tears, wanting to burn everything down, wtf am I doing moments. But here’s the thing, the most beautiful things in life, don’t come easy. You’re going to go through a journey first. Without the challenges and ups and downs I don’t think I’d be who I am today. I would have had no lessons or experiences. It’s important to fail. It’s important to fall. It’s important to go through the hard. Because you’ll always end up on top, eventually, wiser, smarter, braver.
What have I learned along the way? I am strong as heck, more than capable of making things happen, evolving and shifting is important in business, outgrowing certain things and people is NORMAL, and that not everyone is for you. There are people who won’t support you, but there are people who will. Surround yourself with those kinds of people.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband and my parents without a doubt. They have been my biggest cheerleaders and supporters. Even if an idea of mine seems silly or doesn’t make sense to them, they push me to go after it and make it happen if it makes me happy.
They are always reminding me how proud they are, how much they love me, sharing in the excitement when I launch something new or get a new opportunity (like these interviews) and never give up on me. If something doesn’t work out, they push me to see I did my best and something else will come along.
So mom and dad, if you’re reading this (I know you are hehe), I love you. Thank you for being not only my parents but the best set of friends I could ever ask for. Thank you for raising me the way you have and letting me just always be, me. And for never giving up on me.
Hubby- without you, this journey of mine wouldn’t even be possible. You have confidence in me, even when I can’t see it. You encourage me daily to keep at it. You support us, when my crazy ideas I’m building are taking a while to bring in income. You work hard, so that I can work hard at making my dreams come true. You share your thoughts but always support me no matter what I decide. You get excited when I have new ideas and give me hope that lights me up to make the ideas happen. You are my biggest reason to keep going, keep succeeding and to keep believing in me.
Lastly, I have so many besties online (you all know who you are) who have mentored me, cheered me on, supported me, loved me, inspired me and for that, I’m forever grateful.
