Meet Apryle Dalmacio | Musician & First Home Buyer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Apryle Dalmacio and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Apryle, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is believing in myself. Being an Artist is more challenging than others may think. Art is a personal trait. It is you. It is how you express yourself, and when you put your art (or yourself) into the world for others to see, you will be judged. You will be told by others to change who you are, that you shouldn’t play electric guitar, or that “You were horrible’, but you keep your head up and you move forward.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a singer/songwriter from Jurupa Valley, Calif.. The music I write comes from my personal experiences and I’ve been sharing my life stories through song since I was in elementary school. I taught myself guitar and would write lyrics in my bedroom. Sometimes, I would bring my guitar to school and share my songs to my classmates. I then began to share my songs at talent shows and choir concerts, and as I got older I ventured out into open mics. Open mics lead me to paid gigs at coffee shops, and then it spiraled into higher paid gigs as restaurants, hotels, wineries, private parties and corporate events. It has been 20 years since I began my open mic adventures, and today I’m writing songs about moving into my first house, which I’m hoping to release this year.
I look back, smiling, but also feeling so humbled to have overcome some pretty tough challenges along the way, mostly expressed in my album “Among the Stars”. From loss of love, losing a child, and betrayal, I’ve had to face some dark times where I faced depression, suicide, and a sense of loneliness. I really felt lost in my own body and didn’t know who I was for a while. But as I was trying really hard to find myself, I kept writing, I kept singing, I kept playing. And as I kept going, life revealed who I was and wanted to be all this time, and in the end I was blessed.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My musical journey has taken me all over SoCal. From the oceans of San Diego, to wine tasting in the country side of Temecula, playing music has allowed me to experience some pretty exciting adventures, but now that I have a beautiful home in the Coachella Valley, I would have to share some pretty fun and entertaining places there. Besides Coachella Festival, the low desert offers hundreds of places for entertainment. You can see a show at many theaters, dance the night away at a Casino, or indulge some exquisite dining at many restaurants.
One of my favorite things about Coachella Valley is the music scene. Music is everywhere on most nights of the week!
You can find live music on the streets of Palm Springs, a lounge in Palm Desert, or at a local restaurant in La Quinta. In fact, join me for an award-winning dining experience at Cork & Fork every Sunday beginning at 4:30pm. (https://www.corkandforkwinebar.com)
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Life grants us some pretty amazing people on this journey. I really believe the stars aligned so perfectly. I wouldn’t be a home owner without the knowledgeable and experienced Kasey Borders @yourrealtornow ! THANK YOU Kasey and Danielle for walking me through my first home buying extravaganza with ease, positive energy, and encouragement.
THANK YOU to all who have supported me! Whether you’ve hired me for an event, bought a CD or tipped me, you were a part of making this dream come true!
Lastly, THANK YOU Mom and Dad. I know my American dream was bigger than you could imagine and wasn’t the path you wanted for me, but God had plans to guide me with his strength and love. GOD IS SO GOOD.
