Meet Dr. LuRussia Cain | Founder of Heal A Woman, Heal The World International

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. LuRussia Cain and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. LuRussia, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Gender inequality underpins many problems which disproportionately affect women, such as domestic and sexual violence, inadequate healthcare, and infant mortality. Girls are being human trafficked, child brides, lack of education, food, water and the skills to live a healthy, productive and successful lives.
Heal A Woman, Heal The World International has helped women in America, The Gambia, Nigeria and other countries by offering support, food, water, feminine products, counseling and access to life changing skills to move from crisis and poverty to stability and economic self-sufficiency.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As founder of Heal A Woman, Heal The World International. I am a humanitarian who has dedicated my life towards achieving gender equality, advancing women, and girls human rights and empowerment. I am passionate about creating an environment, system, and structure that work favorably for all women and girls without any form of discrimination.
I am most proud of seeing the effects that I have made globally to help create a world were women and girls can thrive.
After being a counselor and life coach for over 15 years, I kept seeing the same issues within the women that served. I desired to see women and girls heal from the residual effects of emotional trauma caused by life’s challenges. After a time of prayer and seeking wise counsel, I was led to create Heal A Women, Heal The World International.
Was it easy? No, it wasn’t easy. There were days I questioned did I have what it take? I had to release doubt, fear, and confusion and step into my purpose. I am blessed to have a few people in my life that would encourage me, loving me, and support me. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it.
Some of the lessons that I have learned along the way?
Surround yourself with good people.
Be okay with people not believing in your dreams.
Learn from your mistakes.
Believe in yourself.
Prioritize self-care.
Heal A Woman, Heal The World International know that women pass on knowledge to their families, daughters, friends, and their community creating a ripple effect for generations. By investing in women, we create a better world for all girls. A world that’s more peaceful, loving, equal and prosperous. Our motto: We believe all women and girls can embrace who they are, can define their future, and can change the world.
