Taking certain risks is important. Being a photographer means you have to invest time and money for photoshoots and go the extra mile to be able to sell your photos. In aviation photography that means I will invest 1000 USD for a helicopter flight to shoot aerial photos before I even know who will buy the photos. Oddly enough, risk-taking has been such an important part of my foundation. My work ethic and my faith have also allowed me to take on the right kind of risk during some tough times and it has brought me to where I am today, building a new phase of my life and my career. We only have one life to live so I feel that we should always challenge and push ourselves to experience new and different things. No matter the outcome of a risk you take, there’s always an important lesson to be learned after it. Taking risks was always apart of my life. Being Filipino-American and growing up in a predominantly Filipino community, my generation was pressured by our elders to pursue a safe and secure career path. Read more>>

As a newly single mom, I had to provide for myself and my daughters, prior to that I was a stay at home mom for 8 years.
