Meet Veon Carroll | Boxing coach, Wrestling coach, Tae Kwon Do Coach, Massage Therapist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Veon Carroll and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Veon, what makes you happy? Why?
What makes me happy is being able to help a strager turn there life around. Having the opportunity to improve peoples everyday habits is all I live for. The daily habits you have is what indates most peoples success, so if I can just modify one thing a day for them, then I can modify them 1 step closer to success.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
In my business, I am most excited to see my students improve after a long time figuring out new moves. I got to where I am now just off of motivation—getting off my ass every single day and giving it my all. The same effort people put in at the gym is the same effort I have to put in my future. It is never easy and I will never pretend like it was. I overcome this by looking in the mirror and knowing I owe myself more. Some lesson I learned along the way is that you can’t do it by yourself. Two, keep open ears for new opportunities, that doesn’t mean accepting the new opportunity it simply means being a good listener. If I could leave a message to the world is that we must continue to be great because there is getting little to no room for error. Perfection is within your reach.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my friend wanted to have a great time I would take them to an amusement park and have them laugh. I find it very funny that most people are scared of heights including myself. But, as you go on rides and the person next to you is more scared than you are you tend to enjoy the ride because you are spending more energy laughing at your partner rather than worrying about your own fears. I would prefer to eat drink and sleep somewhere in nature where I can have peace of mind but also have some cheap food. I don’t understand why food should ever be expensive when we all have to eat.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to recognize Eric Thomas a motivational speaker for constantly waking up the community and encouraging them to grow.
