We had the good fortune of connecting with Truth Nunez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Truth, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
Energy work and spiritual work are the original forms of primary care medicine. Cultures all over the world realized that states of physical DIS-EASE start on a psychic level. Our beliefs and thoughts shape our reality, our emotions are the catalytic converter for the beliefs and thoughts and, well, BOOM, with all of that comes all types of manifestations. As a spiritual psychologist, my work requires me to facilitate and hold space for someone looking to heal themselves… our beliefs and emotions give legs to our creation.
What should our readers know about your business?
I assist others in their energy equilibration. Some people call it chakra balancing, others call it reiki, others call it many other things. In essence, I act as a channel for someone to energetically process energy- getting the energy in motion. I use different supporting tools, like tarot and crystals, to facilitate the process. It has been an interesting road, and, as a sister would say, one with many detours, but with each interaction the vision became clearer. The point was to hold the faith and trust that I was being divinely guided. Even when I was beyond my last penny, the universe made something appear that reminded me that the work is beyond me. I am part of a few collective healing centers and travel in San Diego. The world should know that love from within and determination will create our experiences. It does not matter what we own or where we go. To stand in our truth and live that to the fullest takes a lot of courage and breaking of “rules” but its even better when you realize you can set your own rules just as others have done for you.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love the World Beat Cultural Center and always make it a go-to spot when visitors are in town. I would also take someone to Mission Bay Park and a nice dinner at Cafe Sevilla followed by some dancing 🙂 Balboa Park offers quite a bit to do and would probably take up a couple of days on the itinerary. I would also make La Jolla a stop and check out the secret cave to the ocean 🙂
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Every single person I have encountered during this human experience deserves a shoutout. I have had deep interactions with so many humans- at random gas stations, major community service events, parks, gyms… the list goes on and on. To sum it all up, I give a shoutout to the average Karen, that goes through life trying to do her best despite living in a society that may sometimes feel like it is out of her own nature… she represents us all.
