We had the good fortune of connecting with Trevor Crossley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Trevor, what is the most important factor behind your success?
When my wife and I decided to open our own office, we wanted to spend time with patients and give them the time and attention they deserved. Too many healthcare facilities rush you in and out and while we understand there are many factors that can complicate this, we continue to work hard and provide this experience. We believe that listening to patients, truly hearing them, and earning their trust have been the most important factors in our success and we are extremely grateful for their support.
What should our readers know about your business?
We are a Chiropractic office that specializes in family care and sports injuries. We have the unique opportunity to care for a wide range of patients and help each other when needed. More specifically, we both see many pre/postnatal, pediatric, and adult patients with diverse health histories and injuries. We began our practice and still run it with the ultimate goal of spending time with patients and getting them better as quickly as possible. We believe healthcare should be on your terms and while you can see us as often as you’d like, we want you feeling better now and be able to give you the tools to stay healthy and pain-free outside of the office. We realize patients often don’t get the time and attention they deserve elsewhere and we love being able to provide this. We got where we are today by learning from other doctor’s we admired and practiced the same values we shared. However, we wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for the mistakes experienced. Running and operating a business is extremely hard and most people don’t see what happens in the background outside the office. But making a mistake always yields a positive learning experience. We are always learning and have accepted we’ll never know as much as we want to know. This leaves us as life-long student, committed to always learning and updating our treatments, techniques, and knowledge to provide you the best possible outcomes. With so many lessons already learned, both mentally and physically, having a work/life balance is critical, especially when working with a significant other. We work in an environment where most people are coming to us in pain and are looking for solutions. It can be draining at times to pour everything you have into treatment with no results. Understanding that we might not be able to help everyone is a humbling experience. There is a time and place for every healthcare avenue. While we are able to help many, we want you to know that if we can’t, we will still do our best to find you the best person who can.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
This is a great question. Growing up in San Diego may cause you to take it for granted, but as you get older, your appreciation grows tremendously. How many places you can visit and play in the snow and ocean all in the same day? Some of my favorite food places are Tom Ham’s Lighthouse and Bali Hai. These restaurants have amazing views of the San Diego skyline and are on the water. They also have great brunch buffet’s that you must try at least once. My current favorite restaurants are Cucina Urbana in Downtown San Diego and Campfire in Carlsbad. I don’t think you can visit San Diego without visiting a local brewery and you’ll have many to choose from. I suggest a beer tour around the city where you can choose multiple to visit. As a sports fan, you must attend a Padres game. Even if you don’t like baseball, Petco Park is one of the nicest stadiums in baseball and a great atmosphere with plenty to eat and drink in and around the park as well. For more active things, I recommend hiking Potato Chip Rock for a more intense experience or Cowles Mountain for an easier, quicker hike that’s still challenging with a great panoramic view of San Diego. For a more relaxed setting, La Jolla Shores, Del Mar, Carlsbad, and Torrey Pines are beaches I enjoy and suggest visiting.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife deserves all the credit in the world. We always say that our success wouldn’t be possible with out each other, but she absolutely deserves most of it. Running a business while simultaneously working it isn’t an easy task, but as husband and wife Chiropractor’s she’s able to do so much and figure out ways to continuously push forward when things get tough. I couldn’t imagine doing this without her. The love and support she provides to not only me, but patients too, is nothing short of amazing.
